Mary Worth 1,648

I tell ya, based on the uniforms, recreational programs, and the interior design, Pax is a women's prison. And for Betty "The Butcher" Bluehair, it's about to become a living nightmare.

(Cue theme from "Jaws") Like a shark to chummed water, Mary glides into the pool of potential "projects".

"I'm trying something new here! Up until now, I've only ever feasted on the souls of one or two people at a time! Now I can try a whole buffet of neurotic WASPs at once!"

Wanders, excellent perception. You could not be more brilliant.

This is so inane. "Something new"--aside from the flora and fauna, everything MW has done thus far could have been replicated at Charterstone. Bleah.

This is a scene from Star Wars in the first panel a Gamorrean Gaurd is following Mary leading her to Jabba the Hut.

For what appears to be one of the most boring ''vacations'' ever, this stay must be costing Mary a small fortune. How many weeks is she there, now? Hasn't there been a couple of ''Several days later...'' opening panels?

I had to laugh at the women's prison remark. It does seem to resemble one. I wonder if Mary and Betty "The Butcher" Bluehair will have a knife fight during sharing circle?

Wanders, I'm going to look over all the past panels now that I know Mary is in a prison. Maybe Martha Stewart spent her sentence there.

Maude: The Sharing Circle may share their ideas for creating shivs out of cactus. They'll be needed for that knife fight (which I would LOVE to see!)

Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes are already making a quick exit.

Uh, oh. Two of the women wore the exact same skort in panel 2. There's going to be heck to pay.

Looks as though the ants are having their meeting in the same room.

Sunday

The sharing circle room looks as inviting as a Bureau of Motor Vehicles office.

Note the prominence of the (gasp!) empty chair. What distressed latecomer will become ensnared in Mary's web?

Good thing Shannon has a PhD in both Yoga and Psych.

Don't spas just have classes about nutrition and losing weight? Are we sure Mary hasn't wandered into an encounter group from the 1960s or an EST meeting?

My vision isn't what it used to be. I see now the thought bubble covers part of the word tonight, spelled "tonite". At first glance though, I was horrified by what I THOUGHT I was reading: "white", as in whites only allowed in this sharing circle. Yikes!

I love how they are walking in single file like robots. This Pax Wellness place is just too weird.

Does the quotation from Henry Ward Beecher mean that we never really learn? Does "the heart forever practices old experiences" mean that Mary will just be meddling away in the sharing circle just like she does in Santa Royale? Was Mary's "Great! Shannon the yoga teacher's leading the lesson" passive-aggressive sarcasm? Will the members of the sharing circle discuss ultra-minor "problems" like the blandness of the food in the cafeteria? Was I able to prove that I'm not a robot by typing the secret words, even though I am really a robot? The answer to all of these stimulating questions is a resounding YES!
