Mary Worth 1823

Congratulations to dear reader KitKat who successfully named the waitress Tina, even if she doesn't have a ponytail. You win a new brop, and the chance to recommend a new record for the Charterstone Jukebox to the condo board. We await your recommendation.

Are all the waitresses Tina, or did she get a dye job after May 3rd?

Wanders, you made my day! I am honored and humbled. In recognition of Tommy's days of mopping under the gaze of armed guards, I recommend Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang" for the Charterstone Jukebox. Everyone at the next pool party can join in the chorus - "That's the sound of the men, workin' on the chain ga-aa-nn-gg...."

@Downpuppy at 8:20 AM, props to you for finding the strip with the brunette Tina. Not only has the hair changed, the face has as well. Does Jerry practice cosmetic surgery on the side? And, on the subject of changing hair, compare Tommy's every other day this week with today. Maybe being stunned with Tina's beauty made his hair grow.

Bad move Tommy. Shirking your cleaning duties to score with the ladies already? And in front of your boss?? What a dummy. Think for once would ya?!? If it was so dangerous, wouldn't Jerry (Mr. "We're a family here") have walked her out? But I forget who compiles this drivel... Why should things make sense now all of a sudden??

Actually, it does look like a pony tail is sprouting up there!

But what I really do to make today's strip nominally more palatable is to imagine Tommy speaking in the voice of the most interesting man in the world.

Stay smooth, my friend!

I guess that Uncle Joe had second thoughts and made "Tina-the-Waitress" blonde because otherwise she would have looked too much like former brunette-ponytailed "Gina-the-Waitress"!

Eduardo got a better offer; he'll be working as Mr. Alora's assistant.

I'm not at all ashamed to tell you folks that I went back and looked at the May 3 strip. Great find, Downpuppy!

The look on the boss' face in the second panel is so annoying that I want to smack him.

Sam Cooke's Chain Gang is a great song. So is The Pretenders Back on the Chain Gang.

"Midnight" is another word in a song title that usually means pretty good.

But Tina Sparkles beats them all!

My guess is that Tina is Jerry's daughter.
