Interesting... things that should take minutes to occur take weeks and things that take weeks are over without even the barest of mention in this strip. That would be okay if what was dragging on was complex and interesting. Sitting in a city hall lobby waiting for your number to be called while making mindless chatter does not qualify.
So many wasted opportunities to do some interesting subplots...
Merriam-Webster says the phrase is "by the power VESTED in me" not "Invested". . .So far, I don't think any states have put $$ into the marriages of their residents. .
In the February 15th issue of Mary Worth during the marriage we noticed an error: "By the power invested in me" should have been "By the power VESTED in me". Just a simple mistake, we are sure. J & J

I wanted vows, not platitudes by author unknown!
Happy Valentines Day anyhow.
Now that they're married, may we hope to never see them again? Pool party Monday?
I really like when my quotes about Love include the terms "wipe out", "destroy", and "fear".

Wedding or Platitude-palooza? And NO mention of Valentine's Day?! Sean and Hanna aren't even holding hands. . .I'm disappointed. . .
Sorry, they ARE holding hands in that last panel. I was thrown off by Hanna's vacant, far away stare.
What until Hanna gets to her new home and finds she has to share the bedroom with an urn with the ashes of Sean's first wife.

"MAAAA! What the heck is going on here??"
"Amy and Gordon! What a surprise!...(or not!)"
Sunday: Mary looks positively dismayed at the officiant's faux pas.....unless the state is expecting a return on their investment.
SUNDAY:
Power is "vested" not "invested".
And don't get me started in the quote... huh?
