For years to come, I will remember that for one small panel, on one special day, a Mary Worth character spoke like an actual human being. This is not that day.
I can't wait to see what romantic gesture Adam comes up with next, but if it involves his cane, a top hat, and a little soft shoe dance, I'm gonna demand that Terry marry this guy on the spot!

Where do they find all the empty benches? Good luck finding one that hasn't been rendered useless by vandalism or has a homeless person sleeping on it or hasn't been dive bombed all week by pigeons.
Maybe the benches have played such a prominent role in this strip due to Adam's reliance on a cane, not that we could ever forget the cane since it is pictured prominently in nearly every panel... Maybe the cane is foreshadowing some exciting plot twist. .. uh. No, too subtle for the Worthiverse.
So instead of getting a restraining order, Terry is going to let this guy run out of money paying for extreme adventures, THEN she'll dump him and get a restraining order. It's the only way her behavior makes any sense at all.
Any chance Adam will start shaking his cane at young whippersnappers? Little Gordy, where are you when we need you?
The cane is merely KM's nod to Diversity in her comic strip. Adam Miller is her Disabled Character.
See him walk and talk! See him court a woman! See him go to adventurous places! See him have dreams and desires in spite of his Disability!
He's an Inspiration!
Terry will fall into the Charterstone pool, and just as Mary, clad in a formal gown, prepares to dive in for the save, Adam will reach in with his cane and achieve the rescue. They will wed poolside, and embark on a marriage full of bitter ennui.
Just keep giving out those mixed signals, Terry. "Don't!".... "Stop!"..... "Don't stop." It's just what psycho stalkers love to hear.
THURSDAY
It seems like that hottie Adam is going to pop the question to Terry! Since he hasn't been paying attention to her when she said that she wanted just to be friends first and then, after maybe a month or two would think about the possibility of romance, then I don't think Adam will be listening when Terry says "NO!" to his proposal. Will Adam Miller go the way of Aldo Kelrast, our last serious stalker? Stay tuned for more exciting adventure! (You know you love it!)
Thursday
Who would have pegged Adam Miller as a polytheist? Not me.
This plot could only be improved by the Santa Royale Ferry ending up like the Unita del Mare.
Do I hear "My Heart Will Go On" in the background?
Hey, wasn't the Santa Royale Ferry the site of the tragic accident where Jim lost his arm, not to mention his sister? (Remember, she eerily and creepily looked just like Dawn Weston?). If so, then said ferry is dangerous, and would appeal to Terry's taste for risk taking.
BTW, Ferry to where? Goleta?
