"For instance, there's only so much perspiration I can collect in this mild California climate. But one day, I hope to visit New York City in the summer, where I can collect much more."
I'd like to propose a new category for the Worthy Awards: Dullest Week's Worth of Strips. Poor June, when she got the Sunday Summary assignment for this six days of blah.
Fauxprof, that is indeed a good idea for a new Worthy Award category. It's sure to be hotly contested and heated discussions over each storyline's merits may break out into fisticuffs!
Ditto what Delilah said, and Wanders' comment cracked me up. I was already thinking that somebody should tell Dawn that if you're going to make those funny armpit sounds, it's much safer to use your hand rather than a glass.
I'm a work in progress, he's a work in progress, she's a work in progress, we're a work in progress. Wouldn't you love to be a work in progress, too?
I think panel two of today's strip should be a contender for panel of the year. It sums up the entire strip.
Mary Worth sez, "Yes, dear readers, although I seem perfect, even I am a work in progress. But since I'm obviously so much better than all of you, I can give you advice about your lives ... and then receive your worship! Bow down before me, cretins!"
Yes, poor June indeed. Maybe tomorrow's strip will be redeemed by June's take on the look of incredulity on Dawn's face as she tries to wrap her feeble brain around Mary's "Yes, even me!" Dawn's brain may break with the effort.
The new definition of insanity: Reading the new Mary Worth strip everyday and expecting something different. In truth, lately I pull up the latest MW and am heard to say aloud, "Oh for the love of Pete!"
Sunday What Harlan learned from Dawn: Evey boastful, insufferable know-it-all is delighted to have a naive, unquestioning acolyte. (Gee, Harlan and Mary are cut from the same cloth.)
Happy Father's Day to Wanders and all the dads! (Even Wilbur Weston...)
So Dawn didn't tell Harlan about the--ahem--misinterpretation of their friendship. So it will be a complete surprise when he gets called into Hilton Berkes' office.
happy Father's Day, Wanders, and to all the Dads in our little online community!

That woman on the left has gone to the plastic surgeon and asked for the original Lara Croft look for her breasts.
