Mary Worth 2388

If your 1984 Chrysler K-Car station wagon breaks down on the way out there, it really won't be much savings at all.

Okay, this is coming from a man who drives a 1993 Oldsmobile. With 23,000 miles on it. Yes. That is not a typo.

But does it have such luxurious interior and spacious headroom as the BeedieMobile?

I didn't think so.

23,000 miles on a 1993?!?!?! That's about 6 months driving to me. I have a 2013 Toyota Prius C with 100,000 miles on it. I traded in a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid with 250,000 miles on it.

"BeedieMobile" - good one, @Nance!

Wanders, inquiring minds want to know, so please give us the scoop on that Olds. The same inquiring minds also wonder how the Beedies finance their lives considering neither of them are employed. How do they pay for rent, gas, food, medications, etc.? Did the late Husband/Father Beedie leave them a fortune?

In addition to Iris not realizing Tommy is so "frugal" (ha!), she's also overlooking "slovenly."

Shaggy and Daphne will wait in the Mystery Machine while Fred and Velma pick up the "snax" in the pharmacy.

But meg, what about Scooby?

"OH, OKAY. I DIDN'T REALIZE YOU WERE SO FRUGAL!"

That's right, Iris. There's a LOT you don't realize about Tommy! ARGH! @#$%! Harrumph!

Oh, Iris. So clueless. Why don't you ask Mary for some advice on this? Oh, yeah, you did. And now you're following the advice. This is brilliant!

I had guessed 1992 SUV, but 1984 Plymouth Reliant station wagon makes more sense. A rarity to begin with, and now an antique, which is why it slipped my mind.

Looks like a ~10 year old Subaru Forester to me!

fauxprof- Scooby is persona non grata in this neighborhood since he failed to curb his enthusiasm on the sidewalk last week. He's snoozing in the back of the van- can't show his Scooby dew laps on the street.

I hope Tommy robs the pharmacy and Iris unwittingly becomes his get away driver.

Is it just me or does the rear door handle appear to be strictly decorative?
