While the the concept of anonymity seems to be lost on Tommy as he DECLARES his participation to all within hearing, it isn't lost on Mary who abruptly changes the subject to his back. Well played, Mary, given how I know you must be dying to hear all about this turn of events.

If it isn't enough that Mary and others speak with random BOLD words sprinkled in, now Mary is talking? Like this? And everything from Mary for the last two days has been? A question? Spare me? Can't wait for tomorrow? To see if the streak continues?
Let's all ask Tommy together: "What part of ANONYMOUS don't you understand?"
I'm having a tough time adjusting to June's Mary. What, no pearl earrings??
Who else thinks Mary has a lead on a job for Tommy? Perhaps Mr. Allora is looking for an apprentice, or Dr. Jeff needs a fund-raising trainee for Peace Village, or Sean Hastings needs someone to dust his piano, or....
Dear sweet, out of it, Mary, Tommy's back has been fine for months!
Tommy, you're looking for a job? I'm planning a trip to New York and need someone to write Ask Wendy.
"That's great!" she says, though as far as we know, Mary wasn't even aware that he was addicted. Would she have said the same thing if, for instance, he had informed her that he was undergoing chemotherapy? Like KitKat I am having trouble warming up to June's versions of these characters, but I suspect she will soon grow so tired of Moy's bland, clueless, and redundant dialogue that she will take a more interesting gig, illustrating "Marvin" perhaps. Or maybe she could join the Six Chix.
Ditto KitKat on adjusting to June's Mary...Mary appears to have either had plastic surgery or botox, or maybe she just got a new mattress and has been doing yoga with Dawn, because her posture has improved markedly. After all, she has had vacation from meddling for the past several (months?) She doesn't appear to be burdened with the weight of butting in on all the problems around her, but I suspect that is about to change. Look for Mary to appear much more careworn in the coming weeks.
I think the anonymous part of NA, AA, or Whatever-A generally means that people don't share details of what is shared in the room outside the room. Also you don't share who else is in the meetings outside of the meeting. I don't think participants are expected to keep the fact that they attend meetings a secret.
Wow, the new tenant sure is nosy! Asking all those questions! Poor Tommy! And she looks so DISMAYED that he's trying to find a job and IMPROVE himself. Oh, Tommy ... DAWN will rescue you from this bore!
Wait, now that I've read KitKat's comments, I realize ... that's ... MARY?!?!?!?! Wha????
