I can't imagine why a substance-abusing convicted felon with minimal skills is taking job hunting slowly. Offers for all kinds of top-level positions should be pouring in.
Did Iris inherit a large fortune, or does Santa Royale offer free healthcare and lavish unemployment benefits? Besides the inanity of this strip, I'm seething over all this "taking things slowly" for "these past few months." Who in the real world has the luxury to do that? Grrrrr!

And Mary is looking more and more like Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha in Bewitched. Imagine her with blond hair.
