Mary Worth 2502

It's kind of like she has to choose between two jobs! One job is fun and exciting, with a business degree that promises a life of security, and is young enough to be around for a good long time. The other is boring, sullen, over weight and over the hill, with a relatively short lifespan, and writes for a low paying, small-market weekly newspaper. Which job to choose? Which job to choose? It's time to Ask Wendy.

Well, we worthies of the Worthiverse didn't have too much fun. KM tantalized us with the prospect of an Iris-Dawn smackdown, then pulled the rug out from under us with only a measly frowny-faced Dawn. No screaming, no hair pulling, no Harlan-Zak interaction - thanks for nothing, KM!

Iris, make a list of pros and cons. Ask a friend (as long as it's not Mary).

KitKat, I'm disappointed, too. Aunt June would have drawn a spectacular cat fight.

If memory serves me, didn't Iris tell Wilbur that they would lead separate lives while he was away? What did Wilbur - and Dawn - think that meant? Iris should concentrate on hiding her wrinkles from BoyToy, and not feel guilty about Antarctica Wilbur.

Question: Will Harlan report his date with student Dawn to the College's student-teacher ethics board?

Zak was drawn to Iris by her Sparkling Conversation.

Okay, so this is what; date number 5? (lunch, candle-lit dinner, concert, bowling, dance) Are we finally going to see June's rendition of a kiss?

Harlan and Dawn didn't have a date. That would be unethical. I am sure it was a research project of some kind.

Has Wilbur ever looked like more of a dweeb?

@Yahoonski: I'm speculating that Wilbur used to look like Zak, back in the day. Zak, meet your future.

Yahoonski, on the "dweeb" note, Iris also looks a bit worn in this panel, as opposed to the much younger-looking Iris on the Dance Floor earlier in the week. Apparently turmoil over whether or not to date Zak as opposed to comb-over floating-head Wilbur is wearing her out.

Wouldn't Wilburs floating head be more realistic if he had seal blood all around his mouth and all over his shirt from the harp seal on rye he just ate?

You've got to love those floating heads in MW. It's like the Taliban had cut Wilbur Weston's pudgy head off and put it in a floating bubble. I still can't explain how Wilbur can be in the dark in Antarctica during the Antarctic summer. Why does Wilbur even come up in Iris's thought bubbles when she has the youthful, energetic Zak disco dancing with her? As Zac told her earlier, wait till you see me dance.
