Woozy with joy, our klutz loses control of his muscle function and jams a bouquet full of rose thorns into Dawn's neck. When he tries to stanch the bleeding, she coldly commands, "Don't touch me. You're a walking disaster area. God, what was I thinking?"
KitKat, I’m still rolling around on the floor laughing! Can’t stop...just like this plot line! It’s a good thing though amidst all this virii news and I thank you! Made my day!
Or maybe Dawn will go another way: "I had so much fun in New York! Hugo and I went EVERYWHERE! I'm exhausted. I just want to go to bed and sleep. See you tomorrow and I'll show you some pictures of my trip!"
Carlye: I always hated that little exchange from Empire as well. The entire love story in that film is straight out of a Harlequin romance. She says she's not interested; he says, "Yes, you are," and forces himself on her; she swoons at the touch of his glorious masculine passion and suddenly she (but not he) is hopelessly in love. No means no, Captain Solo! Leia should have kicked him in the nuts the moment he backed her into a corner, and we all would have been spared the existence of Kylo Ren.

Wanders, my scenario is similar to yours, with the following modifications:
Tuesday
Panel 1: kiss; panel 2: Jared: “It’s good you’re back!”
Wednesday
Panel 1: kiss; panel 2: Dawn: “It’s good to see you!”
Thursday
Panel 1: kiss; panel 2: Jared: “I missed you!”
Friday: Panel 1: kiss; panel 2: Dawn: “I missed you too!”
Saturday: Panel 1: Jared picks up trodden-upon flowers from the floor; panel 2: Jared hands flowers to Dawn.
Sunday: Strip begins with a quotation that KM misappropriates; remaining panels: recap of the week
All next week: Mary runs into Dawn, who gives a recap of the preceding two weeks.
@kitkat and Wanders You beat me to the punch! You described the ensuing weeks to a tee!
Also belated Mother's day wishes to Mrs. Wanders and the lovely Mother Wanders. What a beautiful bouquet. She has a wonderful and funny son.
"I love you."
"Let's not spoil it."
The exchange from Star Wars that sets my niece's teeth on edge:
"I love you."
"I know."
KitKat, I’m still rolling around on the floor laughing! Can’t stop...just like this plot line! It’s a good thing though amidst all this virii news and I thank you! Made my day!
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
"More Steamy And Riveting Chitchat From Santa Royale's It Couple".
Welcome back!
Good!
Or maybe Dawn will go another way: "I had so much fun in New York! Hugo and I went EVERYWHERE! I'm exhausted. I just want to go to bed and sleep. See you tomorrow and I'll show you some pictures of my trip!"
Even worse, Dawn will tactlessly say, "I didn't get much sleep in New York, and I'm exhausted!"

So many hilarious comments! Wanders, good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I wrote that exchange you wrote. And Nance, the BFH was perfect!
