Mary Worth 3426

I don't know what he's cooking, but we're eating it for a week. I haven't seen Greta for a while... No, it couldn't be.

Mary: “And also about your dear dog.”
Saul: “Bella?”
Mary: “No, not the dead one! The current one! Pay attention, Saul!”

Mary told Saul: "All you need to do to make these chocolate chip cookies taste fresh, is reheat them."

He's holding the spoon wrong. Nobody stirs like that. Why does June have such trouble drawing people holding things? She draws some things really well and others she just butchers.

Anyway, any guesses as to what he's cooking up? Mush? Gruel?

When I was 13, I was a little more (ahem!) developed than Madi. This is sort of a crucial time in a girl's development, and spending time with some old curmudgeon and his dysfunctional dog could mean years of therapy to come.

"Greta experienced changes in her home life in the past". Greta lost her gram too?

Is Saul cooking Mary's special witch's brew?

So one of the signs that a teenager has made it through the stages of grief is that she's "quiet" and not throwing her clothes around? I want some more acting out, more eye rolling, dumping and leaving hair dye in Saul's clean bathroom sink. No way do I buy that Mary's wise words equating Madi's loss of her grandma to Saul's dog's tough life are having the effect Mary thinks they are. I think (and hope) Madi is plotting something...

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Greta, The Accidental Therapy Dog".

Talk?
Changed...dear dog.
Greta?
Changes. That.

Nance, that BFH title knocks it out of the (tested negative for COVID-19) park!
