Well, last week we went boating, and now it looks like we will be walking. One thing is certain, we will "enjoy" another week of self congratulations. I'll keep my eyes open for more recycling since it looks like our creative team is still taking time off to refresh, recharge, and return with lots of new and exciting adventures. I am sure it will be worth the wait.
I haven't normally thrown exteriors in the recycling bin, but today I'm recycling the dialog.

Maybe something will happen. They could…meet a dog (dogs are good, except Jeff is allergic.) OK, they could…get mugged. Or…find a body! Mary could morph into Jessica Fletcher and Santa Royale could turn into Cabot Cove West. And the body could be…Wilbur! Really dead (most entirely dead) this time.
Or more likely, another week of victory lap.
Finding a body would be quite a turn, especially if it’s Wilbur’s, @fauxprof. However, the only mysteries here are what Jeff had for dessert (notice that Mary didn’t politely ask him how his dessert was) and why no other patrons or employees are at the Bum Boat.
Semiretired hospital chief of staff Jeff walks from room to room advising patients to get up and move after eating a big meal. That’s all he does there.
"Practice what you preach"
I'm trying to recall if Mary ever advised someone not to string along an SO for years.
Mary must have brought with her, the apple pie that was on her kitchen counter knowing that the pies at the Bum Boat could not possibly be as tasty as the ones she makes. Did she make Jeff carry the freezer bag containing her own homemade vanilla ice cream?

I think another proposal is coming up. It will be instantly rejected. I'd like Jeff to give up on Mary
@Tim. Yes! Estelle is on a permanent break from Wilbur, so...
There has to be a recently divorced and attractive head nurse who is appropriately younger
So the new direction of the strip is for people in recycled panels to get together and just ... say things? Well, there was never much of a plot anyway.
How is it that the strip doesn't have to put the ORIGINAL date a panel appeared and keep it there? It's a bit inaccurate to date these panels with current dates. Just my history major self talking here. . Is there ANYTHING that doesn't involve re-runs these days?
