Amalfi Memories

It's the two year anniversary of Donna Amalfi's death, and although I'm still a little saddened by the loss, it brought back some sweet memories of Mrs. Wanders' and my trip to Chicago where we stayed at the Amalfi hotel in Donna's honor. For those who may not have been here at the blog in those days, here are my links to those posts:

Chicago: Day 1
Chicago: Day 2

This blog has been a lot of fun for me. And I hope it has been fun for you too. Here's to another 750 posts.

Thanks for the memories! What ever happened to good ole' shandyowl?

Ah, yes...dear Donna and her dear sons, Ron and Ritchie - or, as I like to call them, Ronchie. Being able to share our sorrows together through the blog, especially your visit to the Amalfi shrine, has helped ease the pain of her passing.

I was just thinking: as a memorial, might it be appropriate to add "Oh Donna" by Richie Valens to the Charterstone jukebox?

750 posts?! Dear Lord, man, that's three whole story lines!

Kudos.

*sobs* Why on earth won't they release Mary Worth collections? I only started reading a year ago and have missed so many prime storylines. Fortunately I found Aldo Kelrast's tale on some website.

Thanks for the laughs, Wanders. I feel overwhelmed in the comments at Comics Curmudgeon, so this is perfect. Plus the exclusive Mary commentary is especially nice. :D

@Amber: Donna has been added. May she and Richie Valens rest in peace.

I'm pretty sure I was reading MW back then, but the Amalfi storyline looked totally new to me. This means that I can relive the entire B?BJ? saga in just two years! And every two years henceforth!

The B?BJ? storyline seems to have ended rather abruptly. Aren't we going to learn about her other bad habits? Btw, "our goings-on" doesn't make a lot of sense. It they were, their goings-on, they wouldn't have to catch up on them. Or something.

Wow, I've been reading this blog more than two years then. I think I came in around the Jeff in Vietnam storyline. Good times. Thank you Wanders for the time you spend doing this. :)
