Mary Worth 2237

There are 8 million stories in the naked city. This has not been one of them.

Can't these people talk TO each other rather than blurt out their disconnected thoughts? No wonder Olive is...well...the way she is.

Shouldn't there be on person looking at the stage, just to make the acrobats feel better? Sad acrobats can be dangerous.

Evy must be seated in a child's booster seat or on a stool since it has no seat back and she appears short and barely able to reach the table.

Pork chops and apple sauce...I mean acrobats...are my favorite NYC delicacy, too!

A city with a great selection of entertainment, huh? Now I'm really bummed - the last time I was in NYC I wasted my time seeing Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in "Waiting for Godot" when I could have been eating pork chops and watching acrobats. D'oh!

It looks like Evy is still trying to eat whatever she had in her hand yesterday. Maybe she brought the box from Pierre's Bakery with her.

There doesn't appear to be any depth to that stage. Perhaps it's actually a Jumbotron? At first glance I took the acrobats to be some sort of wall decoration.

I'm with fauxprof. I thought it was a tacky mural at first. Btw - the guy behind Mary - what is that on his plate?

Mary is probably starting to worry about how she is going to pay her long-term parking tab at SR International.

The guy behind Evy (who is being punished by sitting on a backless stool--noticed that, too) looks like he is eating an entire roast chicken. And is also expecting An Important Call--is that a touch-tone telephone on his table? Or is it a high-top tennis shoe?

Hard to tell.

Like fauxprof and others, I think the diners at this Dinner-and-a-Show! Entertainment Complex got cheated. Either they are looking at a big tapestry or a big tv. Those had better be some awesome pork chops.

Dinner with acrobats actually exists! Wow! I know what I'll be doing the next time I'm in NY. Thanks,KM.

"...and these pork chops are very good", the perfect reply to any observation.

Forget Hamilton! I want to see "PorkChops and Acrobats!"

@Chin Napkin Groupie at 11:39 AM, that's really something, but I would have a tough time eating in the dark.

@Chester the Dog at 12:13 PM, you win the "funniest comment of the week" prize!

Pork chops and acrobats. A contender for Panel of the Year 2016???

How can Mary go back to Santa Royale now that she's had Pork Chops and Acrobats? The Bum Boat is going to seem pretty tame.

I just LOVE how passive-aggressive Mary is! It never stops!
Ed Taylor (a.k.a. Tee-Hee Eddie): This entertainment is GREAT!!!
Mary Worth: Well, these pork chops are VERY GOOD! [not "great"]
Mary's thoughts: Too bad I will have to diss the lot of you and head on back to Santa Royale where the weather is warm and the people are cool. Peasants, you bore me!

Okay, I am relieved that others saw the tumblers are a picture. I have been staring at it for far too long. It's like one of those fancy-pants high-def TVs that hang on the wall but with a show about...tumblers.
