I think I would re-write this sentence to make it a little less awkward: "Mother, Tom and I want to move into a larger place so we can all cohabit comfortably together... AFTER TOM AND I ARE MARRIED!!"

I think this story was really all about saving Mary Worth's reputation for giving good advice. After last year's advice that Dawn go to Europe with her father and then their ship sinking... well, we needed a little reassurance.

Citizens of Santa Royale! I am pleased to announce a new Label for this blog: "Floating Heads." Over the years there have been many floating heads, but I haven't thought to tag them until today's image of Tom Harpman hovered in the air for all the ladies to admire. (By the way, I think Tom Harpman has confused being a workaholic with someone who drinks at work.) I'm sure you have a favorite floating head, but I want to offer a prize to the person who can find the most floating heads on the backpages of our blog. A prize you say? Yes indeed, and would you like to know what it is? Oh please, tell us, tell us!
The reader who finds the most floating heads on this blog will receive a very high honor: Recognition in the Condo Board's monthly newsletter. Yes! So dig deep, fellow citizens, and email your list of floating heads to me at maryworthandme@gmail.com. The winner will be announced later this week, and then I'll tag all the floating heads you find. Have fun!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)
The video above is from a CD signing in New York for a New York revival cast album. And I love this. Thank you Beth, for reminding me to have a grateful heart today.

Tom Dear and Beth Dear are always doing cute little things to express their love for each other. Today, Beth has moved her nose over two inches to the left so Tom can kiss her.

"I'm home at last... again. Beth Dear, now might be a good moment to tell you about my ex-wife and three children. Turns out, she can't cook, but she was always upset just because I'm a workaholic and would come home late and miss the dinner she had tried to prepare. Now she's as bitter as your mother usually is. This is a much better situation for me now."

I have posted today's entire strip because panel 1 clearly proves that Elinor has become nothing more than a pod hosting Mary Worth's spawn. And panel two is one of my favorite lines of dialog of all time. I'm glad Tom has found another girl to cook for him. One heavily salted flounder, head on, coming up!

I had a lot of time to think while I was in the hospital recovering from my fake heart attack. It really forced me to evaluate my life. There's nothing like a fake heart attack to give you some perspective.

You know what would be awesome right now? If Hospital Hi-Fi started to play "Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin.

At first I was confused by this dream sequence. And then I realized I wasn't really looking at two Beth's, but that she was actually metamorphosing into an older, more bitter version of herself. Normally, when people metamorphose in Mary Worth, it isn't deliberate.

Elinor dreams of Beth and Tom breaking up. I think this is about as happy an expression as I can remember seeing on Elinor's face.

Did Mary really bring Calla Lilies to a woman who just had an alleged heart attack? Way to remind her of death.

History is made! Mary Worth actually asks her victim if she would like to know what Mary thinks. It's kind of like Al Capone asking a stool pigeon if he'd like to have his head crushed with a baseball bat, and then crushing his head anyway.

I know I'd be cranky too if my arm was pinned between the mechanical mattress and the steel guardrail. Ow. Ow. Ow.

Mary Worth FLASHBACK!
Travel back with me now to 2008. Jeff Cory, M.D., and Mary Worth have just gotten back together after a very tedious break up. To make amends, Jeff takes Mary to a concert of her choice... and what does she choose?
That's right, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova, who had just been featured in the film "Once." Now that film has become a Broadway play, and so, now, I'm pleased to present my daughter and a friend performing Mary Worth's favorite song from the musical "Once."

Well, it looks like Elinor has finished reading the Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe. This story is really moving along now.

So Elinor has faked her heart attack so convincingly she has even fooled the author Karen Moy.
