Mary Worth 1,063

I know a lot of cynics are worried that Mary and Jeff will continue to discuss Drew's dating life this week, but I have greater confidence in Karen Moy's writing abilities than that. There is no way that tomorrow she continues writing about Drew's eligibility with the ladies. No! Tomorrow is a new day! A new story awaits! Isn't this exciting?

Since when does three dates with a psycho result in the loss of one's single status? And whatever happened to dinner with Dr. What's His Name?

He may be single awhile longer, "restless" or not. Generally speaking, wearing bright electric blue suits and living with Daddy when you're in your thirties...kind of a turn-off for a lot of ladies.

Sorry, Wanders -- I can't take my eyes off the stairs. They don't seem to be supported from underneath -- could Drew have pulled the steps down from a trap door into the attic?

"There goes our little Drew. Isn't wonderful that his callous treatment of that unstable woman ended so well! Now he has more time to read his magazines in front of his mirror."

Thanks to everyone who commented today and yesterday. You all share a perverse, wonderful sense of humor!

As I wrote on yesterday's page about today's strip - I don't Dr Drew is too worried about girlfriends as long he's still reading "Men's Fitness".

I wonder if Mary will have to give Dr Jeff the "411" about readers of "Men's Fitness"...

I see a Kindle!!!
let's hope this morphs into another "technology is bad" story line.... actually they could probably just repeat the last one and nobody would notice.

Why are Mary and Jeff talking about Drew as if he wasn't in the room? Of course, that's what Drew gets for confiding his troubles to a seventy-something-year-old woman instead of his friends down at the--um--men's magazine store.

Oops, I should have said "as if he weren't in the room." Sorry to any grammarians out there.

Captain Surly, I was just going to mention the Kindle! Looks like Jeff is still loving his Kindle, while Mary clutches her magazine. I hope they start arguing about technology again tomorrow!

I think that Jeff has Drew's Men's magazine on his Kindle.

Wow. I, too, was staring at the stairs as I retrieved the secret message of the day. Now I will take another long look and an aspirin.

The "staircase" isn't going to any upper floor. It's one of those endless stair exercisers you see in fitness clubs. Now that Drew is finally restoring his mental health after being rid of Liza the Saleslady, he can once more concentrate fully on his physical health. He is so eager to get pumped again that he jumped right on after his grueling shift of clipboard holding without even taking off his lovely blue suit. It's a bit disturbing that Mary and Jeff sit there watching a grown man exercise and talk about him as if he weren't there, but hey, that's all par for the course in the Worthiverse!

I can't wait for tomorrow's new story! Will Jeff put his Kindle down and forsake technology for the love of a good woman? (And possibly some pie!) Will Mary roll up her gardening magazine and swat a fly, smoothly transitioning into a convoluted tale about the evils of certain insects? Will young Drew fly off his exercise machine due to a sudden power surge and fracture his coccyx? Will Adrian return from her honeymoon?

Oh, if only it were tomorrow already!!!

Will no one think of the Peace Villages?
