Peanut butter, potato chips and single malt scotch: The lunch cupboard.

I am very grateful for the generous donation from Matthew S. and partner! You guys made my day!

You can't imagine it? I'm so relieved... because it would be devastating.

And now a huge thank you to Julie N. and Michael B. for their generous donations to the Santa Royale Rehabilitation Fund! I'm glad you enjoy MW&M.

For all his contemptible ways, you have to admit, he's the one person in the Worthiverse who knows how to hold a cell phone.

I have to give a great big public thank you to Rachel C. and her friends who sent me this inspiring T-shirt. I immediately took Mrs. Wanders out to dinner at our old familiar just so I could show it off in public. THANK YOU!!

Yesterday, when I suggested that you go on a double date because people love to go on double dates with their exes, I was being TOTALLY ironic.

Please, please, please go on a double date to that Thai restaurant on Elm. Because couples always enjoy double dating with their exes.

It's almost as terrifying as Mrs. Wanders and me at the Charterstone Halloween Party this weekend. And, yes, I made the costume and did my makeup myself, thanks for asking. I drew the bones to make stencils and painted them with fabric paint. My date was kind of a deadbeat, though. It's time once again to swap out the Charterstone Jukebox with the Charterstone Halloween Party Jukebox.

It took me a while to understand what Zak was trying to communicate here, but I think I figured it out. You're extremely busy, but you still make me feel like the most important person in the world. But that's easy to do with Zak because he always feels like the most important person in the world.

"Thank you, Zak. Your approval means everything to me. I was thinking I'd take a nap, but now that you say it, I'll drop a few classes instead."

Love means bearing difficult moments together. Like being tired.

Because you're old.

Estelle, what do you think dating is? I have to spend more time with Wilbur, before I decide whether to spend more time with him. Or do you mean, I have to go on more dates with Wilbur before I decide whether to keep dating him?

But, MARY! Your relationship with Jeff is like Estelle's relationship with Wilbur? Does Jeff know? Oh, yes, of course he knows. I just always assume that when Jeff isn't in the strip, he's home alone, crying into his pillow.

And again, you guys, thank you to Jim, Buckley and Leslie for making kind and generous donations yesterday. I'm really touched by the comments many of you made with your donations. Thanks everyone. I think I want to spend more time with you. At least another month!

Endearing quirks? Sure, like obesity and unhealthy eating in midlife leading to certain premature death.  Plus, he’s utterly self-absorbed. Those are just two things that come to mind, but there are dozens of other endearing quirks. At least he’s the youngest man on

I just need to thank Mark, Mary, Cheryl, Deborah, Marilyn, John, Brian and Regina for the very kind and generous donations you made yesterday! Thank you so much for your endearing and enduring support. I’ve really been touched that so many of you have made these contributions over the last couple of days.

Really? Square one? Where were you before? Square two? Maybe three. You've had a hamburger with him and watched a boxing documentary. What else do you need to know about this buffoon who you thought was The One? Did you not communicate at all while he was overseas? At least Arthur contacted you everyday from Malaysia, or wherever it was. Even if it was just to ask you for money.

Speaking of asking for money, a special thank you to Karen, Meg, Laura and Jeffrey for your donations this week. Hearing my call for help, you decided to keep me motivated. Your donations were really appreciated.

As the narrative has stalled for the day, I thought this might be a good time to report on my vacation. In photos. Because, let's face it, you don't want to read about my vacation.

We drove this 1997 Subaru Impreza from New Jersey to Utah to pass it down to our son in college.

The handoff was successful at BYU.
At the top of Sundance Resort, my brother Duane threw me to my death singing, "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother." I waved at Robert Redford on the way down.
We took Greyhound to Las Vegas, where Mrs. Wanders went for a ride on her dad's Harley.
Then we took another Greyhound to Disneyland where I was more gleeful than anyone else as these photos will attest.

My feelings were decidedly mixed about the new Star Wars land, Galaxy's Edge.
We flew to Sacramento, where we went for a 40-mile ride in my Dad's 1932 Dodge.
We visited the gas station museum in Woodland, California.
Outside the gas station musesum.

So that was my vacation. Now, what was Estelle saying?

"Meow?" That's a great question, Libby. I was just asking myself the same thing. How can I possibly stand to continue reading yet another story about doomed Weston love? It is so painfully difficult to write this blog. It doesn't make me more than a few dollars a month, so I'm not in it for the money (but thanks to those who make donations despite the tedium). Joe Giella is gone, so I'm not in it for the awesome art. I've been doing this since 2007. A dozen years. And yet, I feel like I'm wasting my life. I don't know what pagan god they worship in the Worthiverse, but please, whoever you are, make it stop. Just make it stop!

Meow, indeed.

Ew. Just, ew.

Although, I'm not sure whose mangled metaphor disturbs me more, Estelle's or Wilbur's.

After yesterday's dialog debacle, today's mildly uncomfortable conversation is a quaint respite before we step into the cat poo of Wilbur and Estelle's relationship.
