Mary Worth 1975

Now, let's not jump to conclusions. A lot of things happen at City Hall that these two could be happy about. They could just be happy that they don't need wheelchairs and can actually climb down the non-ADA-compliant stairs; although, by the looks of their footing, they may need wheelchairs soon.

Wooo Hooo! A quickie wedding after just one movie, a concert, a few mean tuna sandwiches, a duet, a pharmacy run, and a walk to the Robin's Egg Diner.

On second thought, they've done more in just a few weeks than Mary and Jeff have done in years.

It's gonna make Mary's head explode!

Woo hoo! Disco on the City Hall steps! Wonder if Sean does a mean Funky Chicken?

@ Delilah. I think they're doing the jitterbug on the staircase. Not recommended, BTW.

That couple must have just been married. They're obviously not dressed well enough to attend a movie in the Worthiverse.

They're so happy! They got a dog license! Now they can go get a dog!

Excellent point, Wanders. There are all kinds of reasons for that couple to be gamboling down the steps. Fauxprof has mentioned the dog-license possibility, and I suggest that one, or possibly both, of those happy people was just released on bail.

I worked for the government for 3 years and when I quit, I danced out of there. Such a soul sucking job. Perhaps it's the same with these two.

They just won a decision from Judge Judy...

1. They just settled a bankruptcy.
2. They transferred title on a lemon.
3. The will probated!
4. They're divorced!

In other news, Spark was clearly an aphrodisiac/alcoholic beverage.

It is heartwarming to see two people which such enviable chemistry and so much in common decide to enter into matrimony. More likely, however, is that clever Hanna found a way around that three year waiting list, the need for a chauffeur, and babysitting duties.

They just came out of the city welfare office with a housing voucher for first and last month's rent, and they're headed for Charterstone.

Hmmm. . .well, Anonymous, if they got a housing voucher, they were on a waiting list for a lot longer than the one at Somerset. .. I have to go with Chin Napkin Groupie's observation that marriage could definitely get Hanna around that three-year waiting list at Somerset. .I don't care if they get married; I just want this plotline OVER already. A big wedding finish with Mary baking the cake would just do it. If they wait a few more days, they can have a pink sugar groundhog on their wedding cake.

Don't rush into anything just yet, you two crazy lovebirds: make sure that you run the numbers and see if it doesn't make more financial sense to remain singles and instead "live in sin" (Santa Royale values be damned!).

Chin Napkin Groupie said...

No, Quaker John. As much financial sense as it may make to remain single, it's not going to happen. Mary would never approve.

Holy freak-out, Batman! What's going on? Slow down, Hanna Dingdon! Things are going too fast in this relationship. Don't you have to ask for Mary's and Toby's approval first?

I think I need to move over to Apartment 3-G for a bit. The pace is definitely slower over there, even though it's in Manhattan!
