Mary Worth 2672

So, "Good" has passed "Love" with a double appearance today! "Looking forward" didn't qualify for this competition, but it's kind of a shame because it keeps showing up, and I'm starting to feel bad for it.

Enjoy: 13
Good:12
Love: 11
Nice: 5

This show makes me miss my daughter who is graduating from BYU next week. I'll pick her up and drive with her across the country back home to New Jersey. I'm looking forward to it. Ladies and gentlemen, Maggie Andersen:

I figured the Charterstone Jukebox would have a new entry, and wondered whether it would be the classic Etta James original, or the dynamite Cyndi Lauper cover...but it seems we have a strong contender in the Maggie Anderson version of "At Last". As to today's Mary Worth, In addition to addressing Derek's nicotine problem, how about a little shipboard fling to liven up the meddling possibilities, hmmmm?

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "...So, Is This NOT The Evening's Entertainment...?"

Open: good singers, more dancing.
Good! Forward!

Wow, indeed, Wanders; what a lovely, agile voice Maggie has! Thank you for sharing!

Maggie is a lovely young lady with a beautiful voice! My thought bubble says Wow!
As for Bonnie Bombshell on stage, maybe she has a great voice, too. I'm sure that's what Derek is "wow-ing" about.
Just remember, Derek, Ginger might be fun for a 3-hour tour, but Marianne will keep you happier for those long years on the deserted island called Marriage.

Wanders, if your lovely and talented daughter is pursuing a professional career in entertainment, I know she will have the good sense to flee if Bargain Cruise Lines comes calling.

So Derek is not open to hearing bad singers? Imagine that.

I hope the next act is a magician who shoots a cigarette out of the mouth of a volunteer from the audience. That would be tailor made for Derek!

When Bonnie Bombshell (tm Sandi Ego) asks if the audience has any requests, Derek asks for his all time favorite, "Smoke Smoke Smoke That Cigarette".

Here's a prediction: Katie Hoosier will learn to compromise her principles. Would she rather have no man at all (Derek having run off, or whatever happens on a cruise ship, with the singing vamp), or one who smokes?

Mary's Helpful Hint #24: If you notice LOVE at first sight on the cruise, ENJOY it, PROMOTE it, LOOK FORWARD to seeing the lovebirds take it to the NEXT LEVEL. ... unless it's your husband falling for a lounge singer! (... although I bet she smokes and probably doesn't nag ...)
