It's been a long, tantalizing weekend of getting to know each other. It appears Estelle has learned from her mistakes. If only she'd spent this much time getting to know this guy:
But I am a little confused by this exchange yesterday:
He moved to Santa Royale three months ago, but hasn't returned to the United States? How does that work? I smell a catfish. I don't think Estelle and I can handle another disappointment!!
Also, Captain Marvel was amazing. My daughter introduced me to the comic book a couple of years ago. The movie was nearly perfect!

Who'd imagine the Internet could be a gateway to scams?
I hope I don't offend the cat lovers in our little cult, but Libby is really getting on my nerves with that stupid smile. We've had several cats before, and none of them sat around all day smiling, especially while approvingly reading our email correspondence.
Finally, there goes June again with the contorted phone-holding thing. Sheesh.

Wanders, I can't figure out Arthur Z.'s convoluted story either. Initially I figured he was in Santa Royale and telecommuting to the Malaysia job, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Of course, all of us except Estelle know this is a scam. I guess Estelle is too besotted and too dim to question Mr. Dreamboat. As if we needed more evidence of how dim she is, today she says she has a feline cat. She wouldn't want Arthur to think Libby was a canine cat, or an avian or simian cat, or....
@Scottie McW., Libby gets on my nerves too, with the stupid smile and the monocle. Our family has had many cats, and none of them bore any resemblance to Libby the Feline Cat. Maybe June hates cats.
Scottie McW, as everybody knows, I have cats and trust me, my cats do not sit at my computer smiling and like KitKat, I have never seen a cat that remotely looks like Libby. I'm getting a little annoyed at this silly looking cat myself. Unless Libby's going to start talking, she doesn't need to be in every panel.
I too thought it was odd that he moved to Santa Royale three months ago and is now in Malaysia. The next thing AZ will say is his money is tied up and could she lend him a few grand to get home. I don't think this online dating is for Estelle as she is a very poor judge of character based on the dates she's been on and the fact that she's about to be catfished.
The subtext is becoming text so rapidly, I won’t be surprised if by Thursday Arthur is describing himself as a shrewd scholar of human language.
It appears that Estelle's candles are mocking this conversation. I, too, am sick of Libby and her stupid smirk, go chase a mouse!
The only question is will poor gullible Estelle fall for the scam and wire the money or will savvy Mary step in and save the day? Boy, I can't wait to find out.
WOW! I can't believe it! Not one but four secret messages today! Thank you, Wanders! It's worth having to look at that stupid cat just so we can read your secret messages.
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
"Slow Motion Train Wreck, With Cat".
Yes, do. Have?
Libby. Darling!
Meet. Soon!
Will.
If Estelle spent as much time on the phone with her previous dates, reviewing the features of Libby before meeting all those Mr. Wrongs in person, that might explain the failures.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer recently received irate letters to the editor after they replaced Pickles with Animal Crackers. They caved and brought back Pickles but dropped Non Sequitur due to a not so hidden obscenity. There have now been letters published almost daily demanding that they bring back Non Sequitur with several suggesting that it is Mary Worth that should be dropped. We'll see what happens.
Chin Napkin Groupie, do those fools even know about this blog and how awesome it is to follow Mary Worth? Let us know if we can help... y'all stepped in and helped me out when the San Diego Union Tribune had a reader poll about which comics to eliminate.
That's the patented Charterstone phone grip. When you can hold your phone like that you get your Charterstone citizenship certificate. And a free meddle to boot.
It's obvious you aren't am aquarist :D
When we aquarium lovers talk about cats, you can take it that they have barbels, fins, and no scales!
