Mary Worth 3376

I have a strange foreboding about this conversation. It's as if something ominous, like a worldwide pandemic, is about to happen.

Mary knows about turning on a dime. That’s what she did when she jettisoned salmon squares for muffins.

Apropos to @fauxprof’s comment yesterday, I hope Mr. Allora is behind that boulder, with his shovel.

Ugh, can we please end these platitudes? We get it Dawn, you and Jared are "madly and deeply" in love, can we move on? Apparently KM cannot "turn on a dime" and go on to a new story.

Please make it stop.

Someone please give Karen Moy a nudge. She's clearly stuck. Or does she have a backlog of platitudes, cliches and aphorisms she has to work through? Please make it stop.

Agreeing with M. Wanders about the ominous nature of today's strip. The overhead vantage point of the illustrator is positively Alfred Hitchcock. Now if only that vantage point were from a bird who had eaten too many berries this morning...

This is going to drag out for another week, with yet another pointlessly vapid Sunday Summary. Is Moy dithering around, trying to come up with a relevant Covid-19 script? The grounds of Charterstone seem vast enough for plenty of social isolation, and Dawn can suggest she and Jared “do long distance” since that has worked soooo well for her In the past.

Maybe Dr. Jeff finds a new girlfriend. That would certainly upend Mary's world. No more boat rides and free dinners at the Bum Boat. Devastating.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz".

Survive...rapidly.
Anxious.
Constant...better.
That's in love.

Somebody has to be telling Moy they like victory laps.
That's a level of evil you have to respect.
Track them down and threaten their family to the 5th generation, but respect.

For someone who loves Jared so much, she sure does not spend much time with him.

The way these two dullards are lurching along reminds of the Seinfeld episode about the woman who didn't move her arms when she walked. Now that was a story about nothing that was really something!
