Mary Worth 3695

Not only does this doctor walk his patients to the door, but he gives them $5,000 as well, thinks every patient in the waiting room.

Ashlee, while thinking to herself “That grimy little girl with an icky skin condition and really bad hair reminds me of myself when I was a kid,” tells Drew, “Babe, you do good work here. Just PayPal me $4,950 instead of the five grand.”

Ashlee’s just astonished to see the illegitimate daughter she gave up for adoption 7 years ago. “Wonder how much I can scam out of her adoptive parents by hinting that I want her back again?” she thinks. “Maybe as much as a Rolex without an engraving would fetch on the pawn market!”

$4999.99

Hmmm, that last panel makes it look like Ashlee's guilt is welling up again. She might not have the nerve to pull this off. After all, he's St. Drew, comforter of children.

Doesn't the hospital miss Drew? He's been at the clinic for days now, basically holding the place down by himself. Hmmm....maybe the hospital is just as happy to have him busy elsewhere.

Why is he treating patients in the waiting room? HIPPA doesn’t apply at The People’s Clinic

Uh-oh. The link to Comics Kingdom does not seem to be providing access to individual strips anymore. At least I can see some of MW here most days, thanks to you, Wanders, but I don't think I can go on without vintage Phantom, Juliet Jones, Buz Sawyer, Rip Kirby and Big Ben Bolt.

Well how about that? The link didn't work all day, but as soon as I whined about it...it's working again! Squeaky wheel, I guess. Whew!

Thanks, Yahoonski! Now we can all sleep in peace.

MONDAY
Instead of Ashlee’s heart growing three sizes like the Grinch’s (hopeI got that right), she’s shrinking before our eyes, and may not be able to open the door herself.

If there’s a dentist at the People’s Clinic (not likely), now would be the perfect time for her/him to confront Drew about giving a sugary, sticky sucker to a child. It’s unwrapped and probably covered with pocket fuzz - ick.

She pauses while leaving the clinic… watches as he interacts with a child… then sprints over and wrests the lollipop from her grubby paw, and disappears into the night!
