Wilbur is going to have some shredded shoes when he leaves.

I wonder where Wilbur's body will be found.

Six months of "cats are great?" Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Sorry, Estelle, but if you continue to keep company with Wilbur after he comes so close to abusing your cat, you will get everything you deserve. And then some, hopefully.

Tomorrow we might see Libby on Wilbur’s head, madly rearranging his combover while he screams.

Every woman in the Worthiverse has a signature style of earrings that is never diverged from. Don’t expect to ever see Mary sporting Ashlee’s bead-bedazzled hoops or Estelle wearing Mary’s pearl buttons. The jury is out on Shauna because her steel-wool hair covers her ears. Maybe she doesn’t even have ears.

I cringe at the thought of Wilbur trying to hit those high notes on "you-oooo" like Whitney did.

KitKat - Nice visual! Wilbur deserves a nice case of Cat Scratch Fever.

Scottie McW - Wilbur probably sounds a lot more like Dolly Parton than Whitney.

Wow! I always thought Wilbur was a jerk, now I’m afraid he may be a sociopath! If Estelle wants to continue from the Dolly Parton songbook, might I suggest:

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeen!
I’m begging of you
Please come take my man!
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeen!
Come get him
Or I’ll stuff him down the can!

I am mystified at how large Estelle appears in this panel. She dwarfs Wilbur and could easily thwack him for tossing Libby.

I am a widow after 45 years of blissful married life. I have recently been dating, and if the cat doesn't like the guy, he's history. If he reacted like Wilbur, he's ancient history.

If someone mistreated one of my pets over something that ridiculously trivial, I'd kick his @$$. I hope Estelle does the same.

I would love it if this were the catalyst to write Wilbur out of the strip. I really really really want to see Estelle pushing a wheelbarrow full of lumpy trash bags out to one of the many remote ponds on the Santa Royale grounds.

Wilbur needs to work on his rage issues!

Please tell me this is not where this is going:

Eshtelle dumps Weelbur for being mean to Libby. She then goes crying on the Meddler in Chief's shoulder. MiC says, "You need a new boyfriend. I know just the person! His alleged girlfriend dumped him last week!"

"Dr. Google" reveals that a sudden personality change could signal a brain tumor or dementia. Wouldn't that be interesting.

Bill the Butcher said...

Uh huh. Weelbur would need to have a brain first.

Oh Wilbur, you will die alone. Soon.

"She's not going to like that, Wilbur!", makes me think that Estelle has felt the wrath of Libby in the past. Either that, or Estelle has lost any pretense of having an independent thought where she might unceremoniously usher her unpleasant, yodeling houseguest out the door.

Shelby said...

Wow. Wilbur was unlikeable before but now he's unbearable. Estelle is going to drop him.

Does Wilbur still make Estelle laugh? That part’s not looking good. Time to look elsewhere, lady. How about a 40-ish doctor who’s been looking for love in all the wrong places?

Estelle's been with Wilbur a while but should rethink The Association.

Who's freakin' out from under sheet music
Tossing a cat that's lighter than air
Who's bending down to snap up a feline
Everyone knows Ask Wendy

Who's flipping out when Kitty starts singing
Singing along though Wilbur's off-key
Who's reachin' out to strangle a housepet
Everyone knows Ask Wendy

Ask Wendy has scary eyes
That flash at meows and cries
Now Libby has wings to fly
Above the clouds
Above the clouds

mr_darcy, Bravo!

And then along comes Mary!

mr_darcy - destined to become a classic! Nicely done!

Anonymous said...

And Libby has claws to flay
Wilbur's pitiful toupee

mr_darcy... bravo!

Perfect, mr_darcy! I could have done without the earworm though. It's still here this morning!

Please, please, please airdrop Weelbur on Kabul.

If you read today's whole strip on the Comics Kingdom page, do yourself a favor and scroll down to the comment titled "Libby plans her next move." Reminds me very much of our cat June, who is NOT named after Ms. Brigman.
