In fact, DOGS ARE GOOD!

June left us another subtle question mark just right of the window. It’s her way of signaling Karen that the goodness of dogs remains unclear to readers and more exposition is needed.

Karen Moy is deliberately expunging the late Bella from Worthiverse history. Shocking! Lazy! Dishonest!

Dogs are good! Dogs are good! Dogs are good!
Combined with muffins- Dogs are good!

Wasn't it last summer when the already dog-redeemed Saul hosted the niece whose gram loved colors? Wilbur doesn't get out much.

"That old bag of bones has a girlfriend!?!! Get outta here!"

"It's true, Saul. Their love of pets brought them together."

"Pets!? . . . My life could not possibly get any worse right now. I need another muffin."

"You ate them all."

Woof. This is looking more and more like Wilbur's going to get a dog. Poor dog. If Regina (an avowed Mike Nesmith fan) is checking in today, I suspect she, too, will be reminded of "I'm Gonna Buy Me a Dog" from the Monkees' first album.

Wilbur: “Are you kidding me? Ol’ Man Wynter has a girlfriend?”

Mary: “Not kidding. So… I guess that makes you the only person I know who is completely without the love, affection, or companionship of another human being. Must suck being you. Speaking of that. Your ‘Ask Wendy’ columns are really starting to suck lately. How about if I take the column back on a permanent basis? I read in the paper that Maytag is looking for help.”

No points for subtlety here, Mary.. Animal Shelter should pay HER for the happy customers she sends their way.

Oh no. Please don't let Wilbur get a dog. I like dogs and no dog deserves that.

Wilbur lost his marbles when a cat sat in a chair he wanted to sit on and then he went into a rage when the cat urinated on furniture that wasn't even his. Dogs have the potential to be much more destructive than cats, and Wilbur doesn't seem like he'd spend time training a dog.

Dogs may bark, chew up things, eliminate in the house, bite, pull on the leash, and shed everywhere. They're great...for people who like animals and can train them and have time for them. They aren't magic cure alls for the ills in your life.

Thanks, Garnet. You are so right. On the upside, they’ll take a bullet in the neck for you.

Oh yes, I forgot about that bullet. Dogs can apparently even survive being shot at close range.
