Mary Worth 3818

"Don't despair, Estelle. There's always SilverDaters.com"

'The sea has probably claimed him... poor soul.' is my favorite line so far this year.

“One week later” beginning when? From Wilbur’s glimpse of the bar yesterday? Is Wilbur partying hearty, singing karaoke with some babe, or is he in the Private Island lock-up, charged with trespassing?

Some things haven’t changed. Dawn is still cutting her hair with dull cuticle scissors and Mary is tossing platitudes at others while thinking the opposite. BTW, we never got to see if Estelle met with the cruise ship counselor. Mary would have been ticked off if Estelle sought help from someone other than her.

Poor sea.

Wilbur has plot armor. The syndicate seems to realize Wilbur-hate keeps this strip alive.
The worst part is that when Wilbur finally returns, Estelle will accept his proposal instead of kicking the childish, selfish, reckless idiot out her life. Unless they doubt readers will hate married Wilbur as much.

Hey, why shouldn't the natives of Sentinel Island have their own Tiki Bar? Good for them.

Wow! Two Sundays in a row where the storyline does more than summarize the week's events. I foresee Wilbur walking in on his own memorial service, a la Huck Finn, while we're talking about plagiarized plot lines..

I love Mary's thought bubble. Harsh!

Also, it shouldn't have been more than a day between Wilbur falling off the ship and finding the bar. Wouldn't the ship somehow be contacted so they could know Wilbur was found? Or maybe Wilbur is going to use this opportunity to fake his death and start a new life somewhere?

Love today's emphasis, so wrong, on "CLAIMED." Unfortunately, the sea has REJECTED him.

It's a week later and they're still carrying on like this? Sadness is understandable, but this wailing is over the top. Time to follow Wilbur's lead and get a grip.

Bad news, good news

It took Wilbur quite a long time to get back down the palm tree. By the time he reached the tiki bar, all the guests had boarded the tender, returned to their ship, and sailed away.

But the bar was unlocked and fully stocked.
