Just in case anyone forgot, Zak is loaded. By the way.

So now we’re all caught up with Iris and Zak and their 1950s sitcom dialog. Dear? Gangbusters? (I wonder if it’s a chore for June to draw Zak’s permanent five-o’clock shadow?)

Is there any chance that Zak and Iris will encounter (Iris lookalike) Nan- who will be accompanied by her young teen son Mak who looks remarkably like Zak, including peach fuzz stubble?

If there’s a chance, I’ll keep reading Mary Worth…. at least until Iris goes to Mary for advice in the matter.

Still not as nauseating as Mary and Jeff!

In case any of us thought Iris and Zak had progressed in the long interval they’ve been on the KM back burner, it’s clear they have not. Zak is still babysitting Iris, whose academic life is as stuck as Dawn’s. This May-December match is awfully tepid.

I like @meg’s scenario - if only. I have a few that Nancy, a.k.a. the awkwardly named “My Nan,” will surface. Otherwise, why would KM have inserted her in this insipid conversation. If she doesn’t have a son named Mak, maybe she has a hot daughter, Nanette (picture a younger Ashlee).

"Doing" gangbusters? Um; I believe the term is "going" gangbusters, KM.

I've got to hand it to Karen, Doing Gangbusters does sound like an almost plausible name for a fringe videogame development studio.

In today's panel Zak snaps drunkenly at Iris to refer to his one-person LLC by its legal name, while downing a tumbler of boxed wine. But all that hamburger gravy and stubble can't hide the fact that Doing Gangbusters is doing terribly despite his oversight, and Iris will soon have to start begging Mary for the copay for her thyroid supplement and move back in with Tommy.

Does anyone remember if Iris ever had a job? All I remember is her blabbering on about her college courses. Was Wilbur supporting her plus paying her tuition as well as Dawn's?

Sigh ... can we just get to it?

I'm wondering if Zak is practicing karaoke. What on earth is he holding? Maybe he's blogging!

I don't know. It seems these two are doing OK, judging by their dialogue. Rampant satisfaction is no way to build suspense, not that anyone expects that here, but how about at least a LITTLE problem that will require Mary's (or somebody's) intervention? Yawn!

Wait just a dern minute! What volunteer work? Volunteering to allow an attractive young rich guy support her?

By the way, what happened to Zak's green eyes?

C'mon. Iris has a work-free life of leisure thanks to Zak. She could prepare something a bit better than Knorr gravy mix on minute rice with microwaved canned carrots on the side.

I wonder what wine goes with that?
