Mary Worth 2059

It's always cute when a couple has differing views on roller coasters. However, this is clearly not your typical cliche. It has been well established that Terry loves heights, but Adam, too, is an adventurous soul, with a hot air balloon pilot's license and a penchant for hilltop eateries. We must conclude that Adam's disgust lies in the fact that they are riding the Rocket Woman roller coaster (as indicated by the Rocket Woman logo on the front coaster car), and Adam used to date Rocket Woman before he met Terry, a.k.a. Teflon Girl. It was a really bad break up.

Does anyone remember True Story and True Confession magazines? My mother always had subscriptions and I spent lots of my childhood reading the not-really-steamy stories. They started with a scandalous premise, like "I Ran a Drug Racket!" The real plot would be very lame (she smoked some pot at a friend's house), and end with the wayward woman finding fulfillment as a wife and mother.

Moy must have read those magazines, too. I spent a lot of consciousness raising to overcome those trite notions. Moy, apparently, did not!

I'll say it again. Adam is at best an unreliable prospect. At worst, he's a stalker and Terry should run away. Whee!

@Peggy Olson at 8:00 AM, my mother read those magazines too. A air of faint seediness hovered over them.

A personal-injury lawyer would have a field day at this amusement park. No contraption that goes over the rider's shoulders, only a crummy bar to hang onto? Of course, judging by the barely perceptible incline, this ride isn't even in kiddie coaster territory.

Speaking of stalkers, Mary must be monitoring Terry and Adam's every move. And, what does she mean by "lead to more"? Something not family-friendly? More seediness...

Egad - I meant "an air."

Not only that but none of the riders in the first two cars (the ones with their hands in the air) are seated. Thank goodness the riders in the back cars have more sense.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

It seems that what Terry prized in their former relationship was the risk-taking an thrill-seeking behavior. Perhaps Adam should sign them up for an "Amazing Race" type reality show. It would be a great opportunity for Uncle Joe to draw action sequences.

Uh oh. I don't see Adam's cane hooked over the back of the seat. Has there been a cane mutiny?

Who knew there were so many fun things to do around Santa Royale? I thought cake decorating competitions, boat rides to the Bum Boat, and maybe a trip to the zoo was about all there was. Looking forward to more super-villain thrill dating, except Adam seems to be running out of gas . . .

Is base jumping next?

Until she said "Whee" I thought Terry was too good for Adam.

Terry: "I could never love a man who pukes on the Vomit Comet."

Either Joe is getting stingy with the blue marker or Adam is getting grayer with each death-defying date with his future wife.
Safety harnesses? We don't need no stinkin' safety harnesses!
