Mary Worth 3262

So, Iris, finally tells Zak that she went to see a doctor and her diagnosis is that they're all the same. This made me think back on all the doctor's we've met. Both Doctor Corys. Dr. Kaphut, who was shooting heroine before performing surgery on that little girl, Olive. The doctor who was married, but tried to seduce Dawn. And the doctor Iris saw, who was less like a doctor and more like the "Guess Your Age" barker at the amusement park.

Gosh, I hope Doctor Howard is more like the Corys.

Although Dr. Howard may be "one of the best," a urologist is not the kind of specialist Iris should see, Zak.

Boy, that's some transformation between panels today - holy mackerel. Even Wilbur might not recognize the woman in panel 2.

I wonder if Zak's beard will grow in proportion to how fast Iris seems to be aging. And Iris? Here's a radical idea, GO SEE A WOMAN DOCTOR. It's 2020, they do exist.

Wanders, I'm hoping Dr. Howard is Dr. Moe Howard. Better still, he's Dr. Curly Howard. When I first read this, I immediately thought of "calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard." Like you Wanders, I am hoping that this doctor will be just like all the doctors you mentioned.

You did forget one doctor. There was the one that Mary had laying on the couch while she played psychiatrist. (I can't think of his name and am too lazy to look.) I hope he's as incompetent as him.

Am I the only one who thinks Iris' doctor was the same Ned Fletcher that went after Dawn?

Actually, weren't there three Drs. Cory? Jeff, Drew, and Adrian? I'm sort of glad that we haven't seen Adrian since she rode off into the sunset with blonde cop guy. It always bugged me that Moy used the male spelling of the name Adrian instead of the female spelling; Adrienne... It really bugs me that I'm still thinking about that after all these years...

Okay, I went back and looked. It was Dr. Mike Roberts, who was having some kind of angst about his father. Maybe Iris can go to him.

Iris is looking more Hillary Clinton-esque in the second panel.

Zak, take this as a message from God or The Fates or Karma or whatever and get away from this basket case as quickly as you can. She's begging you to leave, so this is your out. Just go. You'll be sorry if you don't.

@RW-P: Ha ha, that was my first thought too -- Is this Dr. Moe Howard or Dr. Curly Howard? Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

Iris is gonna blow any second, get out while you still can, Zak!

Great comments, everyone, particularly the Three Stooges references. Me, I’m just reeling that somebody in this strip said something eminently sensible: “Get a second opinion.” And it came out of Zak, of all people!

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Zak Sums Up Their Relationship".

My best!
Already...all!
Second opinion!
Lose?

Excellent alt text today, Wanders!

I can see you all got up early this morning and put on your Snarky Boots! fauxprof, your observation that finally someone (Zak) came up with something sensible here is only outshone by the fact that it took him at least a month and his beloved moving out before he ventured this piece of advice. Time does drag on in the Worthiverse.

Fascinated by Zak's button-free shirt. Velcro? Hidden zipper? Buttons in the back? Super cool.
