Mary Worth 4053

Okay, Zak, let's see if we can make it simpler for you: When Iris says she's happy the way things are, she means that she feels a sense of joy and satisfaction with her present situation. She is implying that to make any changes to her current circumstances would diminish her level of personal satisfaction; and, in fact, even this discussion reduces her optimism about the future of your relationship. Did that help you find clarity?

Dr. Sweater Vest couldn’t have stated it better, Wanders.

Zak, it’s time to review past interactions in your search for clarity.

Looks like Wilbur will get his wish.

‘The next step should be us getting married” - an even more romantic proposal than Wilbur’s.

Zak was clearly paying attention during Toby’s tree dream with Cal and is telling it like it is. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a middle aged blond woman looking anguished and saying “AUGH!”.

I predict muffins , platitudes and Wilbur in Iris's future.

I'm surprised no one has yet offered the old adage, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

I really don't understand why Zak needs to marry Iris. There won't be children in this relationship and Iris is already happy. Does Zak know Mary? Maybe Iris should introduce him to Jeff. I'm sure Jeff could explain it to him very clearly.

I don't think Iris will find much sympathy from Mary. Mary certainly does not approve of her living in sin, and she will be upset that Iris rebuffed Zak's offer to make an honest woman of her.

Depart, harlot!

Zak, Zak, Zak, What generation are you from?

Iris. Consider your next response very carefully. You could quickly be back living with Tommy and Babe, and having to get (GASP) a job!!

Sadly, I think we all know where this is heading. Zak has just pushed Iris back into Wilbur's arms. The only thing we can look forward to is that when Zak shows up at Wilbur's apartment, demanding to speak to Iris, the door will be answered by Dawn. Dawn and Zak will immediately fall in love. Thus, we can look forward to a really, really awkward Thanksgiving dinner at Mary's. Remember the Thanksgiving food fight from the old "Cheers" show? I can only hope.
