Mary Worth 4057

Easily pacified, Zak has forgotten all about whatever it was he and Iris were talking about earlier, now that she's mentioned Piccadee Falls. What a good boy he is. His Nan always thought so.

Ooh, an opportunity for drama. I foresee a hiking accident! Bear attack? Near drowning? Avalanche? Wildfire? Zak in deadly peril, so Iris will realize that life is short, and she’ll marry him after all.

Or they get into poison ivy and they grump at each other all the way home.

Zak’s readiness for marriage scores zero. Iris might have been able to distract him sufficiently with just the promise of a new Hot Wheels car instead of a hiking trip to Piccadee (don’t call it chickadee) Falls. Too bad there’s no chance of them running into Drew taking photos of Ashlee in her fringed minidress at the falls.

Iris’s arthritic knees will interfere with the hiking, she won’t be able to carry her backpack, and she’ll complain about getting sweaty, to the point that even Zak will fantasize about a younger girlfriend who know how to make white rice with hamburger gravy.

Marriage, Chickadee Falls, hey, it's all he same!

I, Zak, take this hike for better or worse, for richer or poorer . . .

All Right! I’ll bring my Rolex, you bring your ridiculous fringed jacket and chaps, and we can take lots of photos for Instagram!

Sometimes I feel lonesome, blue, and downright awful. Whenever I do, I pack a sack of kelk muffins, canned salmon and bottle of prune juice, and head over to Piccadee Falls. The falls are so fally, and the other visitors are so warm and welcoming. They seem so normal, and I always feel so much better.

Hiking next weekend? Geez, are we going to have to talk about it every day until then?

Why has Iris been stalling on hiking to Piccadee Falls? Is it haunted? Unsafe? Or maybe too difficult of a climb? I don't see how any of those things makes up for her refusing to marry Zak. However, I do think that Zak came out the winner on this one.
I figured Iris was going to make him another 'special' meal, and we can all see how that turned out (plates are still full, right?).
