Mary Worth 4190

There's a lot I could probably say about how Mary is going to come up with some way to convince Estelle to enjoy Wilbur's endearing quirks, but I can't because I'm too enthralled by that cat walking on a leash side by side with a French bulldog. There are all kinds of freaks of nature in this world. I guess the same thing could be said about the people in this strip.

Wanders, my brother used to walk his dwarf bunnies on leashes.

Awesome footgear today! Mary sports her plastic shoes, while 'Stell' shows off her wooden clogs.

Walking the pets, great. Not as great as the folks I see at the park, wheeling their pets in baby carriages. Some are dressed up in cute outfits. True fact.

“Are you sure, Stell? Maybe it was someone else who simply resembled Wilbur.”

“AAAGH!! Stop calling me Stell!!!”

Mary’s shoes remind me of the ones my dolls had when I was a child (back in the previous century).

And the giant Land Clams inch closer to their prey.

I am confused. I thought Wilbur in the window was an illusion??

I forget which of the Bond books quoted the maxim: "Once is happenstance; twice is coincidence; three times is enemy action."

@Steve. Wilbur in the yoga studio window was real. Wilbur in the kitchen window was a poorly placed floating head thought balloon. Wilbur replacing the heads of Libby and Pierre was a nightmare that would make Freddy Kruger run for the hills.

Instead of saying, "Are you sure, Stell?" I wish Mary had said "Surely you're mistaken."

Estelle: "Dammit it, Mary! I'm not mistaken! And don't call me Shirley! Or Stell!"

Very funny, everyone! I particularly enjoyed the "giant land clams" inching closer to their prey, Scottie. I forsee Wilbur insisting that Estelle is mistaken and that he was NOT at the places she remembers. Think Ingrid Bergman in "Gaslighting", although Wilbur is too stupid to pull that off for long.

Don’t point out the “deer” to Estelle — she’ll try to leash it.

Thanks, Brax!
