Hey, you two, your dogs aren't with you, so you don't need to wear your matching tie and kercheif, at least for a few hours. These two have all but abdicated their free will to their mutts. You better believe you're going to make it up to Max, Eve. And it's going to be brutal, and it's going to be rough - no pun intended.

Welp, we've now moved on from bogus boardwalk construction to storefront architecture that's straight outta The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. I think it's a cry for help from June.
Hey, Lookit! They're walking into the Saul store! It's the sole saul sale in Santa Royale! I'm sold!
The fact that he would even think to mention that they didn't bring their dogs to a mall is a little disturbing. It would be like me mentioning that I didn't bring a trampoline to Mass.
But enough of that. It's time to get over to the food court. The line at Panda Express isn't too long.

Cool, KM is now dabbling in science fiction! You go into that store and come out purple.
It’s “next week” already?! This is a quantum leap for KM. I looked back at yesterday’s strip to compare clothing - Eve’s scarf and Saul’s shirt are actually different colors today.
I hope we find out which of Saul’s friends he’s shopping for. Mary? We know it’s not Toby. Anyway, we need to gird ourselves for endless conversation from Eve and Saul about their dogs. They have nothing else to talk about. Since Greta’s not present, perhaps Saul will exclaim “Woof!”
Hey, I think KM finally got wind of the pandemic and as such, she's introducing a new character. Isn't that Typhoid Mary behind Saul in the purple mop cap? Just about 150 years off, KM, but I can tell you're trying.
Isn't that supposed to be a glass door that Saul is holding open for Eve? If so, where's his left arm?!!

Shouldn't they have had this boring conversation in the car on the rode to the mall? By now they should be complaining about the lack of mask wearers and how far they had to walk to get to the store.
Some kinda excuse for suspense, what with Eve continually bringing up how HAPPY she and Max are in California. What, what could have driven them out of Philly? Cheesesteak allergy? The drowning of her husband in a pothole? A lack of dog parks? We may have segued into "next week" already, but I fear we will be waiting a while to hear what has made Eve so happy with California. Hint: it isn't meeting Saul.
