How many of these storylines have we had? At this point I'm convinced Karen had a May-December "fling" at some point (with a professor or other wildly inappropriate person), and Someone Disapproved, leaving her forever scarred and having to endlessly relive this in panel form.
Dean of Students Constance Killjoy just happens to be strolling by. She also just happens to have exceptionally acute hearing. Stand by for weeks of Toby’s anguish as she’s fired for inappropriate fraternization with a student. I bet Mary has already fired up her oven and pulled twenty muffin pans out of the cupboards as she cackles and rubs her hands together.
Dean Wilkes is mildly interested in what might be going on between one her teachers and a student. But her disapproving stare stems from the gin bottle that rolled out of Toby's shoulder bag when it fell on the ground.
Instead of another student-teacher relationship, will Toby leave academia and Santa Royale to revive her professional Frisbee career? That would be lame too, but at least not as repetitive.
