Mary Worth 3898

Awesome. This is one of the best fizzled endings I can remember. So much potential. So thoroughly unsatisfying. I live for this. Wow. I don't know what to say. It's almost as though Karen Moy was working on her best story ever, and she suddenly got bored with it. No confrontation between Ian and Helen, no confrontation between Ian and Toby. It's as though something got skipped and will perhaps be published out of sequence next week.

Regarding today’s secret message, you and I both, Wanders. In fact, a line of MW & Me readers who fear it too is stretching all the way to Goleta.

“I’m so glad lil’ ol’ me is useless, and I have you and Ian to solve my problems for me! Yay! Now hand me three more muffins.”

So, not even a panel of Helen Moss’s empty office, with an open door and a pair of shattered binoculars on the floor….

Please cut to a scene of Ian and Helen continuing their embrace.....

Does Toby always gnaw muffins from the side? Can we see that?

TOBY: "If only . . . if only there was a way that I couldn't solve my own problems"

MARY AND TOBY TOGETHER: "Naaaaaahhh!" Followed by muffin toasts and laughs all around!

-- Scottie McW.

Karen Moy tells the story of 9/11. "Some bad people hijacked some planes. And now we have to take our shoes off at the airport. The End."

What a relief. We’re all relieved. Tomorrow there will be a relieving recap/victory lap. Monday, back to Wilbur. Or the good dogs. Maybe Dawn? That would be Wilbur-adjacent, though. Dawn might get a dog, because dogs are good, only Wilbur doesn’t really like dogs. We could watch the fish, I guess, floating upside down in their dank aquarium.

At least we can cherish the image of red-faced, leering, demonic Helen. Panel of the century!

Not just the boldface, but today's entire strip reminds me of an old ROLAIDS commercial. It's as if the syndicate truncated the Ian/Helen scene to make room for ads.

Mark my words, we’ve not heard the last of Helen Moss, MWAHAHAHAHA!

I wonder why Toby isn't concerned that Ian flirts with his students. That's creepy and unethical behaviour.

Meg, I sure hope you are right. I agree with Wanders too, it's almost as if Moy just suddenly decided to drop the story line for no apparent reason. Hmmmm....I don't see any comments from Ian Cameron today. I wonder...?

I'm just assuming that Ian and Helen hooked up in her office and will be having a sad, dirty side thing. I hope ,anyway.
