Wow, Lynn, aka Vera Shields, is going to get a designer scarf from Dad, and soon, a whole month before Christmas. This generous gesture should get her to the top of her game in time for that goofy Succotash Fest in Louisiana. Be sure and check the label on the scarf, Lynn. Knowing your dad like we do, the scarf could be counterfeit.
I firmly believe after the last two days that Frank is either schizophrenic or bipolar--I'm leaning toward the latter, but it wouldn't take much to swing me back to the other. How many mood snap mood swings is he going to throw Mary's way? Ranting at Lynn in front of onlookers, then suddenly tender-hearted at Mary's suggestion that he bestow a fairly meaningless goody Lynn's way, then prickly and defensive again moments later when Mary suggests that his iron fist tactics might alienate his emotionally fragile daughter.
I've been lax about saying it until now, but it's good to have you back, Wanders. I hope you're feeling much better. It's nice not to have to suffer alone, whether from a herniated disk or reading Mary Worth.
I'm guessing Lynn is going to be thrilled with her (cheap) scarf and will incorporate it into her themed skating costume. This good luck talisman will surely win bronze AND an approving nod from Mary.
OOH! Robert, bravo! Let's hope its an extra long scarf that tragically gets somehow wrapped around the blade of the skate, strangling her as she leaps, a la Isadora Duncan.
As slow as this strip moves, he could give her the scarf that very afternoon (MW time) and it could still BE Christmas by the time she gets it (real time).
HEY! It's "Be sure TO check the label." "Be sure AND" implies two actions: (1)Don't forget and (2) examine the label. Really, we are talking about a single action here. Let's hope you don't post something really stupid, like: "Lynn should LAY down for a nap."

Aside from Dawn Weston, how many brunette females are there in Mary Worth Land? Most of the women are blonde clones!
Wanders not only is that belt buckle awesome, it also appears to fasten somewhere in the region of his sternum.
