Bless you, June Brigman. This is AWESOME! I love Norman Rockwell.
I love that June changed the lady's cigarette into a cell phone.

Dear Jennifer Coolidge,
You are my favorite movie star. Are you related to Anita Koolidge?
Love,
Wanders

This has got to be SO frustrating for Rita Coolidge. Not even MARY WORTH will give her credit for her song, attributing it to Anita Koolidge instead.

Maybe I'll add "Layla" to the playlist. Here's why. I went on a deep dive, wondering if Anita Koolidge could be a play on Rita Coolidge who helped write an unreleased song with Jim Gordon called "Time." You can listen to what sounds like a demo version of it on YouTube here. At the beginning, you can hear the familiar refrain from "Layla" by Derek and the Dominioes. When Layla was released, she was shocked that she didn't get a writing credit. You can read an excert from her memoir about it here, but be warned, there is probably some click-bait on the site. Better yet, I'll just add something by Rita Coolidge.

Did you know that in Cassablanca, Humphry Bogart never says, "Play it again, Sam?" He actually says, "Play it again, Sau."

Well, whadyaknow! It is Nan! And she's coming for dinner. I really hope nothing happens. And the odds are in my favor.

I'm on board with this, one hundred percent. Not only do I have the complete 26-volume set of all the Peanuts strips on my bookshelf, but over the years I've worn a few Snoopy shirts myself.
I decided a long time ago that if a T-shirt is worth buying, it should have the Peanuts on it. It probably has something to do with a story I've shared before about my freaky relationship with all things Peanuts.

This is serious stuff. I shouldn't make any jokes about this kind of crime. But as Jess told her story, who among us did not think of this classic Mary Worth moment?

Uh-oh. This relationship has been nothing BUT red flags, but this is the biggest one of all: Jared is not a DC Comics fan. He's Marvel all the way. I'm guessing Jess and Jared's relationship is going to be as successful as Halle Berry in Catwoman.

Yes, Jared, cats have it easier, but they don't live as long, they pee in a sandbox, and they can't drive a car... Wait a minute! I forgot about Toonces, the Driving Cat!
Hearing Phil Hartman's voice-over makes me happy and sad. I loved Phil Hartman. When he was on SNL, he sent me this photo:

If you're too young to remember Henrietta Pussycat, here's a link. But if you're too young to remember Henrietta Pussycat, really, why are you reading Mary Worth?

It's taking a long time for Mary to work her way through Outlander because she seems unable to concentrate and her eyes are closed.

Thankfully, Wilbur caught the North Equatorial Current which swiftly washed him ashore on an undiscovered island. When he's finally found in eight years, he'll be a BEAST!

I really am perflexed by Wilbur's brain sometimes. I am not going to parse these names too closely, but I get it. He's naming his fishes after his Ex. Sort of an Audrey 2 kind of scenario, from Little Shop of Horrors. Or perhaps maybe more like "A Fish Out of Water."

Is Mlle. Binoche reading this blog? Because if she is ... picture this: My Instagram DMs, my Facebook Messages, my Gmail as an inbox... and like a beautiful Francophony, her fan letter emerges!
