I think we're getting set up for another Terry Bryson to the Rescue story.

Mary Worth 2456
I'll agree that a year can feel like an eternity, even when nothing has happened. For instance, one year ago today:
Clearly, there have been changes, but I'm not sure I'd say a lot has happened.

This sounds a lot like Adam Miller wanting to spend all his time with that congressman. Maybe Wilbur thinks it will turn out just the same.

Mary Worth 2362 - Goodbye Joe
Well, it's official. Uncle Joe Giella has retired. I've never met him, but, oh, how I enjoyed his art. He just seemed like the kind of sneaky, funny guy you wish were a relative... I guess that's why we started calling him Uncle Joe. Anyway, I wanted to showcase some highlights from the last seven or eight years I've been blogging here, but of course this list would be way too long. So here are the Panel of the Year winners from the the Worthy Awards starting with 2008.
But first put a free token in the Charterstone Jukebox and listen to Laura Nyro singing "Goodbye Joe" and enjoy.
2008 (okay, this one was the runner up):

"Dear Ian,
"We are so done. I meant it when I called you a boorish pig. Did I say pig? I don't remember, but I should have. Anyway, I'm not coming back. There's a box of Splak on the counter. You won't starve if that's what you're worried about.
"Love, Toby.
"P.S. There's a vase under the sink for your pathetic bouquet."
I wanted to thank Santa Royale citizen "Daffodil" for pointing out some strips from Jeff and Mary's first date in 1996. It didn't go well. He took her to the Bum Boat and, well, meh. But given our fascination with Ian's AstroTurf sports coat, I thought you might enjoy his cotton ball sweater.

Aha! It was a slide rule. How awesome is that? Joolz, TeacherPatti, and Diving off a Cliff are all eligible to recommend Charterstone Jukebox songs just for participating in our Not-A-Real-Contest contest. Remember, the condo board must approve all suggestions. This may be the last old time strip for a few days. At this point in the collection that Phoebe of Santa Fe sent me, there is a two month break in continuity. I'll scan the next set after my in-laws head home. Sorry to leave it on such a cliff hanger! Will Donn use the slide rule for some brilliant scheme to screw up the blue print's for TNT's construction project and save Sonora Canyon? We may never know!
