I was thinking, maybe the flowers didn't have a reflection, and then I wondered if one of the flowers was actually the reflection. Because I'm almost starting to lose interest in this story. Almost.

I used to be amazed at how creative Joe Giella got drawing reflections, but I'm glad that Joan Brigman also finds them challenging.

Good ol' Mr. Allora got them all moved in today. Of course, Tommy was no help at all, and he looks just fine. I'm starting to wonder if this was all a big ruse to score a few narcotics. At least Tommy's reflection is still in pain.

Hanna's alter-ego in the looking glass seems to be saying, "Hanna, you may have stopped raising your kids a little prematurely."

I had a lot of time to think while I was in the hospital recovering from my fake heart attack. It really forced me to evaluate my life. There's nothing like a fake heart attack to give you some perspective.

Dad looked like he had seen a ghost. But his alleged reflection was grinning from ear to ear. We all knew how Dad's reflection loved ghosts.

Dear readers, thank you for watching Maggie's video of the Katy Perry song yesterday. She really appreciated everyone's encouragement.

Actually, I'm pretty impressed with this reflection. Best I've seen in years. Of course, the part in his hair may be wrong. But I like how Mr. Giella has hidden Drew's hands just perfectly in order to pull off the reflection consistently.

The big question I have is how should Drew break up with Liza. Punky suggested Post-it Notes yesterday. That seems appropriate since they've only been on two dates that I can count. But she does like texting, so perhaps that is best...

Drew trembles in anticipation as he awaits for his date to pick him up for dinner. It's 6:06 p.m. Only 24 more minutes until the beautiful Liza arrives! While he waits, he mentally explains to himself what is going on. "Liza asked me out. Liza asked me out. Wait. What does that mean? Will she be paying for dinner, or will I?" Meanwhile, at Liza's lair, Liza waits for Drew to pick her up. Society has neatly defined gender roles for a reason, people. You mess those up, and no one knows what is going on.

It's especially hard to see yourself clearly in a funhouse mirror that inflates your head, dislocates your shoulder and spins your veil around backwards.

The seagulls continue to delouse and the sun goes supernova as Jenna takes the first bite out of Dr. Mike's face. Meanwhile...

...Uncle Joe continues to struggle with drawing reflections, but I give him full credit for persistence. Joe, here's a little tip: The next time you look in the mirror, notice how if you raise your left hand in the air, in the mirror it looks like your reflection's right hand. It's often referred to as a "mirror image." But keep up the great work, and don't get discouraged. You are awesome.

This is an AWESOME story. The key element of any great story is it's major dramatic question - the question that propels the story right through its climax. In this case, the major dramatic question is clearly, "Will Mike like Jenna?" I haven't seen such a compelling MDQ since the seventh grade when Kurt Hipp and Margaret Potts went steady. And we all know how that turned out.

So many answers in today's strip. First, discovering that Mary is actually trapped behind the looking glass made so much sense. Does anyone remember the Lost in Space episode where Penny and her sister fall into a magic mirror and are living behind the mirror watching everybody? That was almost as awesome as Mary Worth. But to make things even better, Mary can actually see her body snatcher taking over her life. Horrors. This explains why she and Jeff have been zombie-ing it over to Mountview Hospital. Of course, yesterday, Jeff made the fatal mistake of displaying emotion, but I am certain that in the interim, Mary has snatched him and he is a pod person now as well. If this story is anywhere near as exciting as Invasion, we're in for a great time!

I just want to hear from the women on the blog: If the term of endearment your significant other constantly referred to you as was "Queenie," how would feel about that? Seriously. Okay, men can answer too.

Today's Strip has that Les Miserables feel to it. Very dramatic. Mary is so obsessed she forgets to take her hair out of its stealthy bun before brushing it.

Frank drinking cup after cup of milk of magnesia as his perma-rage begins to take its physical toll...

And Lynn, finally able to look at a picture of Dead Greg without screaming and fainting.

In honor of today's inner-monologue montage (and my old employer - American Musical Theatre of San Jose, which sadly declared Chapter 7 last month after 75 years of service to the community), I've added "One Day More" from Les Miserables to the Charterstone Jukebox. It's about time we added a good ol' fashioned show tune.

I have no idea who runs enormoushop.com, but they had it up within 30 minutes of the midnight launch of today's strip. In fact, according to godaddy.com, they had the site registered on August 1. Somebody had some inside information and used it for the betterment of the entire world. I suspect the Dharma Initiative.

As soon as her magic mirror is off the phone, Mary Worth is going to get a good look at who has been handing Ron blank pieces of paper.

Yes, Mary, let's just leave it at that. Tomorrow you can call Jeff Corey and tell him you're sorry for neglecting him; he'll apologize for being such a proud male; and the two of you can go have a delightful seafood dinner at the Bum Boat. It will be the perfect Mary Worth ending to a perfect Mary Worth story.
