Wanders has been flat on his back for three days with a herniated disk in his upper back. It's really interfering with my ice skating. So continue to enjoy Mary Worth and I'll start blogging again when I get my sense of humor back.

My commiserations. :( That's no fun at all. Get better quickly!!
So sorry -- you need to let up on that competitive skating! I've been under the weather with a cold from the grandchildren, but still able to work, because my job doesn't involve the twists and turns and spins... best wishes, and we'll be here still!
Feel better soon, Wanders. And, given that I've dealt with a husband under similar circumstances, send my sympathy to Mrs. Wanders. I've been feeling so deprived of your commentary that I actually dreamed last night that I was at a hockey game with Mary.
I hope you'll feel better soon! I hate missing your take on today's Mary, but I know too well what you're going through and it's definitely not pretty... much like how that ice skater's father will soon be feeling with the "help" of Mary
Wanders, that's such bad news! I'd wondered what happened.
I know you have bigger things on your mind now, but my suggestion is to turn it over to the commenters while you're laid up. Guest blogger or just make an Open Thread daily? From this post alone, I can see they are a funny bunch. This way, people won't lose the habit of going to the site.
Did anyone notice the Blue Boy reference in the last panel of today's strip? Perhaps to underscore how Mary's visit to Lake Tranquil is turning into a bad trip?
Wanders, you're missing the halo of light and the angels singing as Mary disregards Frank's warning and, as we all knew she would, INTERFERES! (At least I heard it -- did you??)
Sorry about the back. I've been there. Hope you're back on your feet soon -- particularly since Mary is glowing with indignation and about to asplode!
And yes, it's a bummer about the skating. But I think it's safe to say you didn't have a chance at Regionals anyway. Heidi did very well in the short program, and (given Lynn's imminent meltdown) I think she's pretty well got it wrapped up. Her long program, skated to "Edelweiss" and "The Lonely Goatherd," is supposed to be a knockout. Maybe next year, buddy.
Feel better Wanders! Perhaps you and Dr. Jeff can share your meds, what with his knees and your back. Am checking every day for your take on the Lake of not so Tranquil Meddling.

Feel better, Wanders!
Get better soon! I realize this is a family friendly blog, as you say, but the Griffin family doesn't seem very friendly to me...

I hope you have good drugs, and some crystal swans to bust.
I *told* you to be careful landing that triple lutz Wanders! Now see what you've done!!!
Seriously, feel better!

Thanks everybody.
But, you have to blog until your feet bleed! You're not allowed to fail!
Just kidding- Get better soon! We miss you!

Either way, come back to us. We miss you!

I hope you feel better soon. I love your blog!
I trust you will be taking advantage of this period of forced inactivity to watch "Scotland" as narrated by Sean Finnery?
Get well soon.
Feel better soon, Wanders. Your sense of humor is missed.

Wanders! I just came home from a trip, and read your post---I am so sorry! I hope your recovery is a speedy one.
