No therapist would be pleased by Liza's claim that Drew "completes" her. A good relationship is between two people who are complete to themselves. But Drew and Liza are only medical professionals and couldn't be expected to know that.
I feel we are at a crossroads here. The entire relationship has been driven by Liza, in her monomaniacal zeal to land the doctor. But other than admitting to the "ego boost" in being asked out by Liza, we know nothing of Dr. Drew's true feelings about this or her. Is he just going along for the ride? HIs expression in today's first panel could be read as slightly appalled. Wouldn't it be amazing if he actually realized Miss Complete Me has nothing going for him other than her single-minded crush on him, and TOLD HER SO? That would be, in my opinion, so much more interesting than the path I feel sure we are heading down.
I don't know if anyone is old enough or female enough to remember those comics from the 1960's called "True Romance" or "True Love"? (For all I know, they may still be around, but I doubt it.I think society has moved on from the unrealistic portrayals of couples-in-love depicted in the pages.)
Anyway, the dialog and artwork today are EXACTLY from the pages of those 50 year old comic books. Makes me nostalgic...
As fast as LiZa is moving here, I'm really hoping this storyline is about to take a "Fatal Attraction" turn. All LiZa needs is a nuclear perm and a chef's knife.
It's been one date girl. Slow down. I know that the be all end all is to "land a doctor" but slow down...most guys don't like you getting too into it too quickly. Except Mr. TeacherPatti...and he was into me right away cuz I'm awesome ;)
Poor Liza must be self-aware, desperately seeking completeness. It's inexcusable, really. No sentient creature deserves to be one of Moy's underdeveloped characters.

@Punky - not only do we know nothing of Dr. Drew's feelings, I can't imagine that LiZa knows anything substantial about Dr. Drew except that he's a male...and everything that goes along with that... Is this woman just obsessed with men? Doctors? Or only doctors she really doesn't know??

I forget, is the inkblot on the face good or bad? I know if the panel is blue and yellow, it denotes high emotions.
I am not sure about Drew's reactions to Liza's statement. I know mine is disgust, but you know, men are different.
