Standard denouement in the Worthiverse requires Mary to explain what has just happened to other characters in her world because, hey, life is confusing. I for one certainly had no idea what was going on until this helpful conversation.

Drew is better for his experience with Liza, thanks to Mary's explanation. He now realizes that he should pursue his life-long ambition to be a physical fitness trainer rather than remain locked in the dead-end medical biz.
Well, I'm glad Mary Worth explained that sometimes people do crazy things, I would never have known otherwise. For example, the university administrator who admitted a nurse with a poor work performance record into a sales course based on the fact that she's a psycho stalker. That, and the fact that a *university* is running sales training courses... yup, sometimes people really DO crazy things!
Obviously, the protocol has shifted from face to back of head touching.
Drew, As a doctor you should realize that your head lice CAN be eradicated by using appropriate medication!
As @steve_j_23 said. I am also thankful to Mary for Explaining away many things for me.
This is a "family" rated blog so let's just say I'll be just rolling my eyes and moving on the next time I read about mass murderers or war crimes or terrorists..."Those crazy kids!!, Let's go eat!"
My verfication word is "GRAST" which now stands for "Grin Right At Silly Troubles"
I'm grasting my way through my bills right now, Mary. Thanks!!
I've noticed the obsessive back-of-head-touching as well. My headache (from all that craziness, no doubt) is located more around my temples.
Also, due to the endlessness of the story, I've lost my will to use exclamation marks.
Well, now that LiZa has found her true passion, Drew can rest assured that no aggressive females will be stalking him, and he can get back to his Men's Fitness magazines... not that there's anything wrong with it... not at all.
Before I (wisely) got into teaching, I worked in legal aid, mostly representing folks in family law situations. I once had a woman whose stalker would show up at work daily, would peek in her windows while she was bathing, follow her all around town and make the obligatory obscene phone calls. Sorry but what Liza "put" the good doctor through is nothing compared to what a lot of victims go through. If I was a stalking victim, I'd be pretty pissed at this statement....
Completely oblivious to the self-absorbed Dr. Drew, a bunch of nurses and attendants in the first panel are working furiously to resuscitate an emergency patient. Apparently Drew is about as interested in medicine as Liza was.
Is that what they're doing, Kathyo? I thought they were having a spontaneous prayer meeting, maybe thanking the heavens that LiZa is gone.
Now if they can only get Mary to release her hold on those books of incantations that she's been clutching for weeks...
Maude, of course there isn't. *wink* *wink*
Does anybody remember the storyline where Mary found the injured dog? Yeah, me too. I say bring back that dog and let's forget this LiZa storyline ever happened. I have a feeling Mary and Drew's back-and-forth of "You mean she quit?" "Yes, Drew. She's a salesgirl now." will continue on for a few weeks.
At first glace, I thought there was some small yellow bird perched on Drew's right shoulder in panel one. That would make about as much sense as anything else in that hospital.
Drew's comment of "what she put me through" is reminiscent of something Paris Hilton is quoted as saying about "the rough times" she has been through. Yeah, breaking a nail can really ruin your day!
I'm so glad that Mary has cleared up what was wrong with LiZa - she was crazy. I had no idea.
Now Drew has more time to peruse the magazines hidden under his twin bed.
James in ND, yes! I miss Chester too. Now that was a riveting story. I wonder how he is doing?
drew just buy some head n shoulders for your itch .plus just realize you miss liza cause a guy like you is too cheap to change your phone number.
Oh, look, Mary's got the giggles, she's so doggone pleased with herself!
Just wait though, LiZa will soon text Dr. Drew that things are going really swell with her sales training and could they PLEASE just forget their silly little rift and meet for supper...even if it's at say...9 p.m.?
And one more thing...Did they ever call Dr. Bailey to apologize for RSVP-ing a "yes" to his invite, and then not showing up? (This MUST be causing some awkwardness in the doctors' lounge!)
