Low self-esteem, hmm? Maybe Mary can give Nola a participant trophy like little kids in sports leagues get so everyone feels valued. Once Nola feels "special," she'll stop lying and ruining lives.
BTW, I get the impression that Nola's ascent to VP was a recent development. If so, how fast did she acquire those fabulous apartments we've heard about?
The return of the giant LEGO palm trunks today got me thinking. Maybe the LEGO company should come out with a Mary Worth playset. How awesome would that be? Just think of the hours of fun one could have trying to recreate the scenes from each daily strip! (Especially with the impossible building configurations we see.) And of course, they could follow that up with the LEGO Mary Worth video game. We should all start a massive letter-writing campaign to convince the LEGO people that they are missing out on a fantastic marketing concept.
Of course, poor Nola is suffering from low self esteem resulting from her abusive childhood. How can we feel anything but pity and sympathy for this troubled soul? Fortunately, Mary has the tools necessary to put things right. In fact, mary is a tool.
I like the Lego idea, but may I respectfully suggest that a better toy format for Mary Worth is PlayDoh. The blue hair styles (courtesy of the Fuzzy Pumper Barbershop), the weird stretched out faces and impossibly contorted body positions, all achievable with PlayDoh.
Even the food in the MaryWorthiverse looks like it was pumped out through a PlayDoh Fun Factory form.

Well, I think Nola is a narcissist who thinks she's better than everyone else. (And who knows, maybe she IS.) Kind of interesting that Mary "admires her ambition". Oh, and her "sharp dresser" image. Methinks Mary's got a secret girl crush on Nola.
She's also a sociopath who belongs in jail, but maybe we can help with her self-esteem issue.

Toby is way off the mark here. Convicted felons often have the highest self-esteem. I'd say Nola's self-esteem score would be off the charts!
