Oh no, not another "my man was stolen by a bad girl" plot! The female characters in MW are either helpless airheads like Gina, Dawn, and Toby or bitter harpies like Nola and Jill. Whereas the male characters are realistic, three-dimensional...argh, never mind....
I don't know which makes me weep more, whether it's poor Dawn's dumpitude, right there in her jammies with Teddy nearby, or the implausibility that some hastily on/off intertubes "lover" dumps her and then gives her the other woman's full name.
Could someone please give me the script for the whole MW comic? Something is messed up in my browser or OS and I can't get all my comics from the Washington Post today. Love your blog! So grateful to get that one panel for today. I can't seem to get MW anywhere on the web and I think it is because I got CatBlock(like AdBlock except they replace all the ads with cat photos -quality too! So funny. All Best.
@Peggy Olson: I read MW daily (in two separate newspapers--one has color comics). My only outlet was to vent to my husband, until I discovered Wanders' blog and found all my fellow snarky sufferers.
As to creepy Teddy's evil smile, I couldn't agree more. He looks, literally, drunk with his sinister powers.
KitKat@9:13 AM, re: Anonymous@8:56 AM - That is the link I sometime use as well( www.seattlepi.com/comics-and-games/fun/Mary_Worth/ ).
I'm a bit confused by Wanders' statement, "Oh, no, Dawn has been dating Charlie Smith's ex-wife!" Dawn was dating Dave, not Paula. Although the Dawn and Paula combination would be more interesting, I'm sure...
Did you all see Hodces Dirchnic's brilliant picture in his Mary Worth + Garfield series? He replaced the white bear with Garfield and it was awesome. Truly, anything is better than that creeper bear. I suppose this storyline is the one that will cause Mary to lose hope after she gained so much of it thanks to Nola and Bobbina.
Shmoopie@10:55 AM - I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Paula is related to Emily Smith in Goleta...
Sandi Ego@10:50 AM - Glad you liked the latest panel on my Facebook page. For those who missed my post, check my alias' Facebook page for my take on some of the panels from Mary Worth. Just search for Hodces Dirchnic.

Watch out, Dawn! The creepy teddy bear has an evil smile -- and Wilbur drank the steaming evil potion in his mug.
And now something terrifying is growing out of his head. Oh, wait -- that's just his combover.
My verification is HOWnWI. Really. As in "How and Why do I continue to follow MW?"
Answer: So I can enjoy Wanders' blog!

That teddy bear makes my skin crawl.

KitKat -- you found a realistic character in MW? Where??

KitKat, Hello. Oh heavens, thank you! The link did work this time. And it is so much funnier too even adding one panel. I mean sad-funny, I guess.

Another Smith character? Seriously?!! But I guess after the creative Wolvenson and Jiminez-Baroni-Brown, we'll return to "normal" names again.

Dawn's version of dating must include checking/refreshing her "online accounts" every 5 seconds. Does she ever keave the house?
