It is another great big news day in Santa Royale. Stock results, soaring polls. It's the kind of news that makes me think of one of my favorite websites: The Police Beat column on the campus of Brigham Young University. Provo, Utah, just isn't known for good crime:
"June 5-A student reported losing his wallet at the Cannon Center in the cubby section where backpacks and other supplies are left. After leaving and returning with Cannon Center employees, he found his wallet crammed in the back of the cubby he had used."

Oh, Mary! Pride cometh before a fall!
Who's the guy in the framed head-shot behind Mary?
@QuakerJohn: Jon Bon Jovi, perhaps?
Stocks soared except for the one shown in the graph, which showed only a modest gain at the end of the day. Is the Santa Royale Gazette publicly traded?
The photo is either the late Jack? Worth, a very young Dr. Jeff, or it just came with the pretty frame.
My favorite source for news is The Onion . I'm sure Mary's advice column would be a good addition to that publication!
Has anyone actually read examples of Mary's writing? How can the written word capture her unique blend of smugness, wistful expressions and disapproval?
Oooh! Pride goeth before a fall...yes! Wouldn't it be fun if Mary's advice caused someone harm?
I want to see a picture of the forklift on the roof of the Richards Building. How would Mary advise that the forklift be rescued?
Also, why has Wilbur not packed Mary's curtains yet?

Yesterday's teapot was far cuter, but this one is indeed clever to hold up the paper like that. Mary is quite the sorceress.
I've been enjoying the number pictures that the "robot detector" is using. Finally, a use for that art/photography project that someone had to do.
They forgot one headline: "Mary Worth Becomes Drunk with Power."
Wanders, I just finished reading the BYU crime log. OMG, that's way too funny. I especially love the faculty member calling the police because two cars had their bumpers touching in the parking lot. The students seem to be particularly bike impaired, which is surprising for a Mormon university.
Wanders, thanks for the link to the BYU police report. One doesn't read items like those very often! I am puzzled by the June 8 item under Theft. Would that be a large dolly for trees, or a dolly for large trees?
For those wondering about the second line of the "Stocks soar" headline, it's "on strong economic news from Greece." Everything is always peachy in the Worthiverse.
Sorry Dr. Jeff - Mary has absolutely no use for you now. Time to move on.
Stocks soar...hmmm, is SantaRoyalemart finally over its slump? Did they finally pull Green Goddess salad dressing from the shelves?
