Mary Worth 1,421

The last thing Dawn needs is an old lady like Mary Worth bossing her around while she's busy chillaxing with her young peeps. Her homeys would be like, "Gag me with a spoon. We are TEENS!"

Today's Full Strip

If she's still a "teen", what was Jeff Corey doing dating her back then?!? And Mary didn't think that kind of deviant behavior warranted alerting the authorities? Shame on you, Mary Worth!

Does this mean we are about to start yet another chapter in a Dawn storyline?

Isn't it way past time for a change? I wonder what Nola Wolvenson is up to?

I'm calling it (unless someone else already has): Jim's father was the pilot of the ferry and he committed suicide.

Haven't seen the full Sunday Summary strip today (My Plain Dealer arrived without the funnies, and the online link won't load, rant, rant) but thank you, Wanders, for the relevant panel.

Dawn is, by her own admission, a student at the University. Unless she is an AP student, she is over 18 and considered an adult. The volunteer program for TEENS, as she emphasizes it, is probably for high school kids. Miss Weston?

GROW THE (bleep) UP!

Spode, I'm thinking that Jim lost his wife and maybe some kid or kids in the accident. But you could be right--it's the Worthiverse.

What a dumb opening panel (omitted, as usual, by the Cleveland Plain Dealer). Why is Dawn, whose age is already established (isn't it? 20s, right?) in a program for teens? I am confused.

Beyond that, the Odd Photo has come into focus and become a portrait of Wilbur and Dawn, but I noticed that Mary's slice of Ghost Pie has deflated/exhaled. Yet things are still notably sooty in Charterstone Condos.

Why isn't Dawn hanging out at "college"? Shouldn't she be meeting people her own age????

...And that is an awfully tall security fence. But I guess "you can never be too safe."

Wait, I thought Dawn was in her late 20s, early 30s? Well, I guess Dawn can relate to teens since she has the mental capacity of one.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why in early October, in blue-skied, sunny Santa Royale there is snow on the window ledges panel 1).

This IS Mary's apartment, right? (We recognized the hideous orange-and-black pillows.) So, why does Mary have a framed photo of the Westons on display? That's creepy.

I was going to suggest something else that Jim may have lost in the ferry accident, but I'm mindful that this is a family-friendly blog.

YES! More Nola Wolvenson PLEASE!

@KitKat, I think we are chez Weston, and Mary brought the ghost pie over to facilitate meddling in Dawn's life. The ugly pillows have shown up in both apartments, so it could go either way.

Oh yeah, right...Just what has Mary been doing that she hasn't been "available" to help Dawn get oriented? I think she deliberately made SURE Dawn got put in the "Teen Program" so she wouldn't have to roll book carts around with her!
