It's not just Mary's blazer that has changed. On Saturday, Elinor's room had double-hung windows and Venetian blinds. Today she's in a room with divided windows and curtains only.
The flowers are yet another Giella Switcheroo. Yesterday they were a half dozen yellow roses with leaves. Today, six calla lilies... or some species of something from Mars.

Wait, I've not been reading for a few weeks. When did Elinor become a man?

The part of Elinor was played by Clint Eastwood in the final panel today.
"They" say that if you want to know what your future wife will look like in 30 years or so, look at her mother.
Apparently, if you want to know what Tom Harpman will look like in 30 years, look at Elinor.
