There's something creepy and sinister about the position of Sean's legs. I fear the combination of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, a shrimp-avocado salad has done him in. Oh well, there's an opening at Somerset now.
This excuse of a story line may be lame as all get-out, but it's inspiring hilarious witticisms from Wanders. Excellent work, Wanders!
That's not apple cake, it's Food Team Generic Brown & Serve rolls. Mary dusted a bit of apple-pie spice on it in an attempt to fool Hanna and Sean. It looks like Sean is past the point of noticing anything.
So Much in today's Panels to dish about, besides Wanders' genius take.
1. What happened to apple cake? Now it's apple buns? 2. Since when is "duet" a verb? 3. How much call is/was there for a professional floutist, esp. solo? 4. Is KM purposely making today's Panels a bunch of double intendres? 5. Is there any elderly person who speaks like MW? "No pressure." 6. What's it like to have a sunken kitchen? 7. Is there some deeper meaning to the repetition of the word "FUN"?
I think Mary has a TV screen in the kitchen set up with a camera in the living room so she can "observe" what is always going on in there when she is away. More menacing than meddling I would say.
I've been negligent in visiting the site lately (Merry Xmas, Happy Hannukah to all) but am shocked at how the strip has devolved into double entendres since my last visit.

This is getting tawdry. I feel like I need a bath.
Always make sure your apple cake pan is perpendicular to the floor before removing the pieces. It's just what people do.
Between Panel 1 and Panel 2, Hannah evidently has decided against using the fourth plate for Sean's beloved dearly departed. Maybe next Halloween...

"If I duet with Sean, it'll be for fun" Does Moy ever try this dialogue out loud? Heavens to Betsy!
Edward Hopper's "Room in California" - one of your best, Wanders!
