If I were a Charterstonian, I'd wanted a word or two with the condo board about the place's slipping rental standards - they've gone from accepting impecunious elderly widows to out-and-out hobos. That can't be good for resale values...
"U-Haul" - more product placement from KM. Is she planning a move and trolling for freebies?
Mary: "Mr. Allora, stop that menial task you're doing and get over here to do another!"
Hanna's apartment was on two floors (a panel in one strip included a staircase), so why is Mysterious Haunted Man who doesn't "have a lot really" moving there? Unless the one thing he can never let go of fills the place.
Since Mr. Miller doesn't have many possessions, can we assume that he won't have floor-to-ceiling pink drapes or Crayola-colored sofas? Also, since he seems to be financially challenged, will Hannah's old apartment suddenly show cracks, exposed brick (the non-hip kind) and crookedly hung pictures?
Adam can move all his belongings, including that one thing he can NEVER LET GO OF, in ONE CAR! It's as if that's the most unbelievable thing Mary's ever heard.
And as someone who's needed to use a cane (or two, and a power chair for longer trips) since my early 20s, I am especially curious about Adam's reason for using an ambulatory aid. An old war wound? A sprained ankle? Spectacularly fractured leg from a bar fight? A traffic accident that killed his one true love? Either way, it'll take weeks to find out! And hopefully we'll discover the answer at a POOL PARTY!
One of these days, you're going to meddle with the wrong person, Mary Worth....Have you ever heard of the Goleta Slasher?...Travels fast and travels light....
Hanna Dingdon's out, Adam Miller's in! I sense some competition for Dr. Jeff from this suave, brooding new inmate, er... resident of Charterstone. Also, maybe a stalker story. But who will be the stalker? Adam or Mary?
What is the one thing that Adam Miller can never let go of? Is it Dawn Weston's (my sister's) body in his trunk? We haven't seen her in a long time ...

Day two, and already an angst-ridden thought balloon. He's gonna be tons of fun at the next pool party. (Please tell me there's a pool part coming?)

Mary is tactless, however Welcoming she thinks she is. I certainly hope that is a sneer on Adam Miller's face.
It won't be long before Mary and Toby are gossiping about him and his Baggage. And I mean that in the absolutely most Family Friendly Way, Wanders.
Resistance is futile. You will be meddled.

Mary didn't start off with a "Welcome to Charterstone" casserole? This guy is toast.
Moy and Giella Productions
proudly present:
A remake of "Rear Window"
Featuring:
Mary Worth with her binoculars as James Stewart
Adam Miller with his seething anger as Raymond Burr
Toby Cameron with her cocktail shaker as Grace Kelly
Ian Cameron with his bagpipes as the Pianist
Hanna Dingdon-Hastings and her broom as Thelma Ritter
and Chester the Dog as the little dog who got killed and as the little dog who showed up later
For purposes of the Mary Worth ethos, no one will actually have been murdered, it will all be just a huge misunderstanding.
However, by popular demand, Mary Worth will actually fall over her balcony and break both her legs.

So much for that swan song... The Meddling, it has begun.
