It's possible that after the Bat-Man threw him out the window, and the Congress-Man shot him in the knee, that Adam Miller has become disillusioned with the life of a Super Villain. He may have had a change of heart. It may be time for Teflon Girl to reconsider.

Mary has audited Psych 101 under Santa Royale Community College's free 60-plus program, thus making her supremely qualified to diagnose Adam.
Let's see:
1. physical changes
2. psychological changes
3. life change
How much has he changed? What's left?!
Just his suit.
When Adam was shot while protecting his Congressman it certainly would've made the news. Why didn't Terry call him, text him, send a bat signal to see how he was recovering? I think Adam is on a revenge mission, he's going to get Terry to open her heart to him again then he's going to smash it to bits and leave her with significant psychological changes.
Mary is a juggernaut of nosiness.
