Well played, Wilbur. Well played. The first step in a successful Worthiverse extraction is to sever all emotional ties. It must be done in a such a way that former loves and family do not come looking for you for at least a year. This means they need to believe that they broke up with you. Well played, indeed.

Wilbur and Iris are early arrivals for the first annual Charterstone three-legged race.
Iris and Wilbur = just the latest crazy male-female relationship in the Worthiverse. Other examples: Mary and Jeff, the Tee-Hee Twosome, Adam Miller and What's Her Name, etc. etc.
What kind of advice did the clueless Wilbur give when he was writing "Ask Wendy"? Oh, I know - bad advice!
Does anyone at Charterstone know how to maintain a normal relationship?
What?? You want to break up with me just because I decided to take off for a year without discussing it with you first? Why are you being so unreasonable, Iris? Why???
Meg - I was thinking they're both entrants to the Charterstone potato sack race.
My guess is that Wilbur spends a year (12 months) in NYC as that is the place everyone in the Worthiverse goes for adventure a la John Dill.
How many weeks must we spend on the breakup or Santa Royale's dullest couple? And the dullness bar is pretty low in the Worthiverse. I just hope this means Iris will go away forever, and take Tommy with her. Wilbur can come back, I guess. He and Dawn disappear for ages, anyway.
Who will get to Mary's door first; Iris or Wilbur?
